**Job Description**
As a Senior Civil Engineer - Rail at AECOM, you will play a key role in shaping the future of Sydney's transport infrastructure. You'll contribute to the planning, design, engineering, and project management of major rail and transit projects, including Sydney Metro City & Southwest, Sydney Metro West, Parramatta Light Rail, and the Canberra Light Rail. Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years Information and Communications Technology (ICT) design experience in Mission Critical Environments
- 5+years of developing design documentation (plans, specifications, etc.) for construction and/or permitting.

- Participate in site selection reviews, work with local utilities to understand and define site utility requirements, and work with internal teams to understand user requirements.
- Design and collaborate with other disciplines to create a construction document set.
- Create designs which meet or exceed our quality requirements and fall within our budgetary requirements.
- Work with regional vendors and manufacturers to specify the appropriate mechanical equipment including Air Handling Units, Computer Room Air Handling Units, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Sequence of Operations & Controls systems, Fire Detection/Suppression systems

As an Amazon Fleet Remediation Project Design Electrical Engineer, you will lead design projects in operational data centers, that remediate issues, upgrade our existing infrastructure or add new services. Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields or relevant work experiences
- 5+ cumulative years of design experience with industrial or commercial engineering in Mission Critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation, oil / gas facilities. (Experienced Engineer)
- Experience with the design consultant or operation/maintenance or resident design engineer or hands-on (in the field) design consultant of mission critical facilities, especially data centers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations for ANZ

In this role you will influence water chemistry and treatment, coordinating with design engineering, construction, operations, and maintenance for our global fleet of data centers. This includes on site and large campus water systems. You will work with internal and external teams to define, design, detail, and document the various water treatment features that our facilities require, using both prescriptive and performance-based design approaches. As an Owner, you will strive to ensure the water treatment features of our buildings protect our people and keep our customer's data safe and uninterrupted over the life of the building. We expect you to contribute your expertise to the continual improvement of our water system design standards.
Key job responsibilities
Primary responsibilities will be to perform and oversee project-related work, such as water supply analysis and design for buildings, including coordination with utilities and internal water teams to establish basic site infrastructure requirements. The ability to coordinate water treatment system space requirements, supporting utilities, and equipment locations, and to provide detailed construction specifications for water treatment systems. You will typically be responsible for the preparation of detailed designs for water treatment and sustainability systems. You will coordinate with all design disciplines to ensure they meet the code requirements described in our design standards. In some cases, you will oversee and review this work and in other cases you will perform the work yourself.
As the team's subject matter expert, you will ensure that contractors have the information they need to build our data centers the way we expect them to, and that our operations teams are well equipped to operate and maintain them as needed to meet our goals. As part of this role you will work with internal and external stakeholders, including design engineering, construction, commissioning, operations, vendors, and other service providers, as well as local officials. You will be part of a global team, and you will be an integral part of our work to change the world through technology.
- Driving improvement of design standards and project approaches across the organization.
- Work with third party design vendors to review concept designs and designs in progress to ensure they meet established design standards, local code requirements, and any other requirements of the Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).
- Be responsible for providing high quality water treatment advice on a wide variety of projects globally while working with global Mechanical engineering teams to achieve alignment of water treatment systems objectives.
- Coordinating with construction, commissioning, and risk management teams to answer requests for information and value engineering queries.
- Be responsible for code compliance, design and installation standards, water supply evaluation and assessment, testing, inspections, and submittal review. Meet with AHJs as needed to ensure approval of water treatement features.
- This position will require up to 25% travel.

The Data Center Design Engineering team at Amazon Web Services consists of Architects, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Fire Protection and Controls Engineers working to design the next generation of Data Centres. Basic Qualifications

In this role, the engineer will use their subject matter expertise to drive continuous improvement of third-party designs through the creation of standards. As a Colo Design Standards Engineer you will be responsible for driving design and availability consistency across our colocation data centers. Input into global design standards and generational data centre template designs.
Work with regional colo engineering teams to review and accept proposed changes to the site specific infrastructure against our data centre standards.

The Colocation Design Standards (CoDeS) team drives the global standardization of technical solutions for AWS Colocation (colo) sites. The team owns the creation and update of engineering standards for colo sites, following the performance objectives set in AWS Basis of Design (BoD) and creating those for colocation specific technology. The team also provides technical support for AWS product colo readiness to enable efficient deployment. CoDeS global standardization of technical designs objectives is key to enable more efficient and consistent capacity ingestion for the delivery teams.
