Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking to hire a highly motivated, customer-obsessed individual to provide hands-on support to our Data Center Infrastructure Operations across the Sydney region.
The successful candidate will support the Data Center Physical Security team with the implementation of AWS's security policies and procedures at AWS Data Center(s). You will also be responsible for coordinating physical security operations, testing and conducting audit reviews of the Physical Security Program, provide support to the Contract Guard Force, contractors and all stakeholders within the Data Center. You will possess a willingness to learn new skills and build relationships with internal and external partners to maintain and enhance the safety and security standards of our Data Center operations. Key job responsibilities
- Coordinate the day-to-day Security activities for your assigned Data Center(s) under the guidance of an experienced manager
- Assess vendor compliance, based on the established work order, track service deliverables and escalate corrective actions to a senior team member as needed.
- Provide support to all vendors within the data center
- Conduct inspections, audits and reviews in your area of responsibility and ensure compliance with AWS security standards and policies.
- Lead the media security requirements within the Data Center
- Participate in regular meetings with vendors, data center operations and other partner teams to accomplish operational consistency.
- Effectively communicate with partner teams when providing awareness of security policies and procedures.
- Troubleshooting Security Devices in conjunction with the local Security System Integrator

The **Senior Data Engineer (Azure)** will focus specifically on developing solutions leveraging cloud-based data platforms and associated technologies (folloing the NTT DATA MDP architecture - Modern Data Platform). The Senior Data Engineer for MDP is expected to develop the required competency to lead and deliver successful outcomes in projects, develop pre-sales materials, engage in pre-sales activities, identify value propositions for customers, input into practices for strategic development in specific area(s) of expertise, and to maintain knowledge and educate the branch/sales/practices as required. They will work with the MDP Solution Manager to identify additional skills required within the practice and assist in developing required training curriculums.
The purpose of this position is to contribute to the overall analytics performance by supporting sales, through extensive collaboration, knowledge sharing and ensuring overall understanding for their area of expertise.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Analyses current business practices, processes, and procedures as well as identifying future business opportunities for leveraging Microsoft Azure Data & Analytics Services.
+ Provide technical leadership and thought leadership as a senior member of the Analytics Practice in areas such as data access & ingestion, data processing, data integration, data modelling, database design & implementation, data visualization, and advanced analytics.
+ Engage and collaborate with customers to understand business requirements/use cases and translate them into detailed technical specifications.
+ Lead quality assurance (QA) activities from design to implementation phase of the proposed MDP solutions to customers.
+ Collaborate with project managers for project/sprint planning by estimating technical tasks and deliverables.
+ Engage with clients' leadership and technology teams in strategic discussions to provide technical strategy and industry guidance to improve their long-term business goals.
+ Leading pre-sales activities associated with MDP related opportunities, including development of targeted demos, presales collateral, and solution positioning documents
+ Assist in the development of AMS (support) models, including the required collateral from a presales perspective to help promote AMS offering and positioning to customers
+ Staying abreast of the latest developments in the modern data platform area (especially Azure analytics services), sharing information and running education sessions with the NTT DATA BS team and customers

**Critical Knowledge, Skills & Experience**

+ Designing and building of data pipelines using API ingestion and Streaming ingestion methods.
+ Knowledge of Dev-Ops processes (including CI/CD) and Infrastructure as code is essential.
+ Experience in developing NO SQL solutions using Azure Cosmos DB is essential.
+ Thorough understanding of Azure and AWS Cloud Infrastructure offerings.
+ Strong experience in common data warehouse modelling principles including Kimball, Inmon.

The Single Digital Patient Record Implementation Authority (SDPRIA) has been established to coordinate the implementation of the SDPR across NSW Health.

The Infrastructure Operations (Data Center) team is the backbone of AWS, supporting the rapidly growing AWS business and customers 24/7. We are looking for a Data Center Engineering Operations (DCEO) Engineer with experience in critical facilities management, a result-driven individual with strong technical (electrical/mechanical) understanding and the drive and vision to take our data center engineering operations to the next level. The role will report to the DCEO Manager and be responsible for sustaining availability, cost management, risk assessment and mitigation, review corrective and preventative maintenance of critical infrastructure and metric reporting.
Key job responsibilities
- Participate in a 24/7 rotating shift pattern
- Undertake and support management of both routine maintenance and emergency service of a variety of critical systems such as switch-gear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, fire systems, etc.
- Installation of new rack capacity and provisioning of power/cooling
- On-site management of contractors and vendors, ensuring that all work performed, is in accordance with established practices, procedures & local legislation
- Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses and prepare reports and documentation of all aspects of critical facility infrastructure operations and maintenance. Manage the facility's assets
- Generate change management requests & incident management tickets for all facility related events (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) and assist in the resolution of infrastructure engineering and services issues
- Collaborate with data center IT managers and other business leaders to coordinate day to day operations, projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, sustainability, and efficiency
- Drive & implement projects to increase current facility capacity, efficiency, sustainability & reliability as well as assist in the design implementation, commissioning and build out of new data center facilities.
A day in the life
At today's large-scale data centers, you will be involved in:
- Work schedule changes depending on specific site needs. Shifts are 12-hours and will rotate on a predefined schedule
- Assist in troubleshooting of facility and rack-level events within internal Service-Level Agreements (SLA)
- Perform rack installs, rack decommissioning, and facility management
- Provide operational readings and key performance indicators to make sure uptime is maintained
- On-site management of contractors, subcontractors and vendors, ensuring that all work performed is in accordance with established practices, procedures & local legislation
- Performance and oversight of maintenance and operations on all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center.

Basic Qualifications

Your Impact
The Proof-of-Concept Engineer is a Solution Engineer role who will be responsible for the development, planning, design, delivery & coordination of Customer Proof of Concept (CPOC) Labs, mainly Data Centre architecture focus but could include other technologies as well, for both internal and external audiences? This person will work extensively with all BU's, Content Developers, Partners, both internal & 3rd party throughout the POC process from introduction through build, test and ultimately throughout the customer delivery of the POC. This person will be responsible for working with account teams to flesh out customer care abouts, testing requirements, capabilities, etc?
Job Responsibilities
Project Management 10%
Identify and prioritize all project related tasks. Ability to organize, strategize and communicate project goals, objectives and tasks at all levels of the organization. The Data Centre CPOC Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all 3rd party developers on assigned projects are reporting status effectively?
Engineering 50%
The CPOC Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, documenting, and delivering a large variety of content, mainly but not limited to Data Centre. This will require meeting with Account Teams, TME's, Content Developers, Partners and at times Customers to extract requirements and helping to create a design & Test Plan which is conducive to POC objectives. The CPOC Engineer will be the primary engineer assigned to the POC from introduction throughout Build, Test and ultimately delivery phases of the Customer Proof of Concept. The Engineer will work and Collaboration with a team of engineers with varying specialties.
Platform Design 20%?
Must properly document and plan all projects prior to entering project build phase? Candidate must be well versed in the use of standard design templates and tools (Visio, Power Point, MS Project). Candidate will be required to "justify" all designs in front of working peer group?
Support 10%
The CPOC Engineer will serve as First Point of Contact on All Escalations. Within this role and work directly with the account teams, partners and customers to ensure the successful delivery of the POC. When escalations occur that cannot be addressed by the CPOC Engineer, they will follow up with the responsible engineer and ensure that not only is a fix provided but also that it is properly documented and has been added to the Support Knowledge Base and that tier 1 & 2 engineers have been properly trained on the work around and future. If a content or documentation update is required, the CPOC Engineer will work with Project managers assigned to the CPOC team to ensure that plans have been for the necessary updates. The CPOC Engineers will be involved in all Phases of the POC. Engineers will work as the liaison to the operations team to resolve issues identified during the development and testing process, providing technical support, and making design recommendations for fixes.

The CPOC Engineer will work as both 3rd party liaison's and as an independent content developer?
Minimum Qualifications:
* CCIE Level or Equivalent Experience: Expertise in networking and data centre technologies.
* AI-Ready Data Centre Knowledge: Proficiency in AI Pod, Hyperfabric, Nvidia Infiniband, and related technologies.
* Data Centre Design/Deployment: Experience with Nexus standalone and VXLAN Fabric-based SDN solutions.
* Cisco Solutions: Knowledge of Nexus Dashboard, ACI, EVPN, UCS, SDA, SDWAN, ThousandEyes, AppD and network services appliances (firewalls, load balancers).
* Cloud and Virtualization Expertise: Understanding of multi-cloud, Public/Private Cloud and SaaS environments (AWS, Azure, Google) and server virtualization (VMware, KVM, Docker)?
* Familiarity with Network Test Tool such as Spirent, CyberFlood, IXIA, Keysight, Breaking Point etc
