About the role
As an embedded contractor in the ASCISPO, this role is to ensure traceability and accountability for all aircraft maintenance and design changes (including BUP) using RAAF tools and systems, for activities performed within the ASCISPO in support of the MC-55 Peregrine Program.
Some of the responsibilities will involve updating and maintaining the aircraft and associated ground systems Continuing Airworthiness Record System (CAMM2), conducting audits and reports and ensuring CAMM2 records are maintained to RAAF policy and procedures.

+ Training in Data Management principles, and understanding of Configuration Management principles.
+ Detailed understanding of document security requirements within a Defence environment.

About the opportunity:

We are seeking an Assistant Director of Data and Reporting with leadership experience to guide the team. You will apply extensive data management/governance literacy and deep technical knowledge in SQL based reporting to oversee delivery of BAU (business as usual) products from within the team, to plan and oversee reporting projects of strategic and operational significance to the Tribunal and provide plain, actionable advice to high level stakeholders interested in harnessing the power of the Tribunal’s evolving reporting capabilities.


Your extensive experience and deep knowledge of best practice in SQL based reporting will also form a foundation from which to nurture talent within the team, both in technical feedback provided in BAU and project oversight, but also in leading a culture of curiosity and continuous learning amongst team members who are deeply invested in unlocking the latent insights of the Tribunal’s corporate and operational data.


About the team:

Currently working with on-premises Microsoft SQL Server suite for reporting and data transformations, the team is embarking on an exciting journey, as ART moves towards implementing an advanced Azure cloud data platform and development of a Corporate Data Warehouse.


The team works closely to maintain and release its BAU (business as usual) products, whilst assisting the Corporate Data Warehouse Project, which will become the reporting tooling, platform and data warehouse for the Data and Reporting Team at its completion.


In this role, you'll be the driving force behind the ongoing evolution of the business-as-usual (BAU) reporting platform, ensuring it runs seamlessly while contributing to the development of ART’s future data capabilities. As the project progresses, these new capabilities will become the backbone of the BAU reporting tools, platforms, and data warehouse, setting the stage for the team’s continued success and innovation.

We’re looking for a data and reporting professional with a broad skill set, ready to bring fresh perspectives and elevate our team's products and capabilities, coupled with extensive experience crafting SQL-based reporting solutions from diverse data sources, using cutting-edge report development tools.
