Medtronic has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Specialist to join our Acute Care and Monitoring (ACM) business in South Australia! This is an exciting opportunity to be an integral member of our highly successful Acute Care and Monitoring (ACM) business at Medtronic, delivering world class education for the range of products.
The Clinical Specialist provides industry-leading product, therapy and clinical training and education to customers in an assigned geographical location to facilitate the highest levels of access, safety and support for patients. Our newly formed Acute Care & Monitoring (ACM) business, formally Patient Monitoring and Respiratory Interventions works together with the global healthcare community to solve clinically meaningful problems, with technologies and solutions for blood oxygen management, respiratory compromise and perioperative complications.
**Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:**
+ Plan, organize, conduct and evaluate educational programs for identified stakeholders including Anaesthetists, Intensivists, Nurses, Biomedical engineers, Surgeons and Registrars
+ Deliver regular in-services and presentations to customers regarding the products and their clinical applications.
+ Supports field personnel in providing the best possible outcomes and service for Medtronic customers.
+ Provide technical backup during clinical or surgical procedures as required
+ Partners with clinical team and regional sales teams to promote customer case and sales support
+ Support with developing workshops and delivering technical product and therapy education to employees and customers, including new hire training and support and recertification
+ Participates in conventions, forums, and meetings to increase product awareness.
+ Identifies and facilitates execution on growth opportunities with Sales and Clinical Support Team.
+ Maintain an awareness of the marketplace development needs; working closely with customers and staff to monitor education needs and skills.
**Required Knowledge and Experience:**
+ A Bachelor's Degree, Diploma or a High School qualification with relevant years of experience
+ Experience in a clinical setting (eg in-theatre) or within the medical device industry.
+ Willingness to travel (insert required % of travel requirements) and has a valid driver's license.

About the Role

Are you an experienced nurse with a passion for education, mentorship, and clinical excellence? An exciting opportunity is available for a Clinical Nurse Educator to join a well-established residential aged care facility near Toowoomba, QLD.

As Clinical Nurse Educator, you will play a critical role in guiding and supporting clinical staff through effective education and development programs. You will foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth, ensuring high-quality care outcomes for residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and evaluate clinical education programs for staff, including graduate nurses, Enrolled Nurses, and AINs.

• Provide on-the-floor coaching, mentoring, and support to build staff competence and confidence.

• Conduct competency assessments and contribute to clinical skills development across all shifts.

• Support new staff onboarding and orientation processes.

• Collaborate with the leadership team to identify training needs and align educational initiatives with organisational goals.

• Promote evidence-based practice and support quality improvement initiatives.

• Maintain accurate education records and contribute to compliance with accreditation standards.

About You

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.

• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in aged care or a similar healthcare setting.

• Previous experience in a nurse educator or clinical support role is highly desirable.

• Strong understanding of aged care standards, clinical governance, and best practice principles.

• Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills.

• Ability to motivate and inspire others in a team-focused environment.
