Join Snap Inc.'s Detection and Response (D&R) team as a Security Engineer. In this role, you will be at the forefront of engineering innovative security solutions, building and deploying robust systems to protect our digital infrastructure and investigating any suspicious activity on our networks as an incident responder. **?Key Responsibilities:**
+ Build, deploy and maintain large scale security systems across our ecosystem.
+ Research, innovate and improve our security capabilities through new and enhanced tooling.
+ Develop smart automation strategies to reduce the need for manual alert triage.
+ Conduct detection engineering to increase coverage, identifying malicious activities across Snap Inc.'s endpoints, infrastructure, networks, and cloud environments.
+ Investigate alerts and potential incidents end-to-end, including digital forensics, malware analysis and threat intelligence as needed.
+ Lead incident response efforts and respond to intrusion attempts and suspicious activities, collaborating with multiple Snap Inc. teams.
+ Participate in red team exercises and threat simulations in order to identify gaps, improve competencies and expand the team's knowledge.
**?Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:**
+ Strong programming skills in Python and/or Go.
+ Practical experience with BeyondCorp or ZeroTrust security models.
+ Proven expertise in one or more detection and response related areas such as:
+ digital forensics (forensic artefacts, disk and cloud acquisition and analysis, forensic tooling e.g. GRR, Timesketch)
+ malware analysis (static and dynamic analysis, using tools like IDA Pro and Ghidra)
+ incident management and response (coordinating large scale or impactful security events with multiple stakeholders)
+ host/network intrusion detection (able to parse and understand large and often unfamiliar logs and systems)
+ network telemetry (understanding network flows, PCAPs and technologies like Zeek)
+ threat intelligence (have an understand of how to model a threat actor and their TTPs)
+ threat hunting (know how to find suspicious activity or IOCs across data lakes)
+ Understanding of operating system internals, with a core competency in two or more of the following including file and disk structures, forensic process, security controls, hardening, scripting and binary investigations:

**Job Description**

To be successful in this role you must have:
Tertiary qualification in Engineering or relevant experience

Proven experience in executing lean and/or six sigma activities with positive outcomes
Experience in technical documentation and processes in accordance with Quality Standards AS/NZS ISO 9001 and AS/NZS ISO 45001 framework

**The Role**
This is an exciting new career for an experienced System Engineer, where your unique skills will see you providing key advice and services in support of Guided Missile Destroyer Combat System Support Agent (DDG CSSA) program to conduct engineering activities on behalf of the Guided Missile Destroyer System Program Office (DDG SPO).
The System Engineers work in collaborative teams and are responsible for the engineering change and technical design activities for the DDG CSSA program. This may include requirements, design activities, validation and verification, testing, fault finding, while supporting configuration and data management and Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) activities for the DDG SPO engineering process. Additionally, you may be required to contribute to urgent defect (URDEF), technical and engineering investigations, and technical information reviews as a general technologict or Subject Matter Expert (SME).
The role is required to collaborate with Commonwealth, Royal Australian Navy, Enterprise partners and relevant subject matter experts to translate requirements and concept of operations documents into outcomes that meet the DDG SPO Engineering process. You will also help develop and deliver on cost and schedule estimates required by project management and prepares and maintains system and service documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

**Skills, Experience and Qualifications:**
+ Requires University Degree in Engineering or relevant tertiary qualifications and experience.

**What You'll do**
You will work closely with the technical and development teams to progress connection applications, including assisting with site finding and grid capacity assessments, power system modelling (RMS and EMT), determining performance standards and assisting NSPs and AEMO through the technical due diligence process.
**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Manage grid connection studies for our pipeline of solar projects in PSSE and PSCAD to determine key inputs into the EPC process.
- Prepare connection study report, performance standards, releasable user guides and other documentation as required to complete the connection process to the standard required by the NSP and AEMO.
- Support the project with the EPC from the connection application phase through the detailed design and up to commissioning and R2 testing.
- Manage and negotiate the technical performance standards with NSP's and AEMO
**Who we're looking for**
**Knowledge**
- Working knowledge of the NER (National Electricity Rules) and GPS (Generator Performance Standards).
- Power systems modelling (PSS/E, PS-CAD) ideally with a utility background in power systems planning or operations.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
**Experience**
- 3-5 years of experience working in power systems related roles is essential, especially in power system modelling and power quality assessment.
- Proficiency in using power system analysis tools including PSSE, PSCAD, and PowerFactory preferred.
- Experience in renewable energy (solar or wind) will be considered very favourably.
- Capability in training and mentoring engineers and passing on technical competences.

The CLCM delivers functions against the contract scope across the Asset Class Enterprise to support Defence Maritime Capability.
The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer to work within a diverse and dynamic team in support of the delivery of a sovereign sustainment capability to the Royal Australian Navy's Amphibious and Replenishment Ship Fleet.
As a Reliability Engineer under the guidance of the Reliability and MRD Program Lead, your focus will primarily be on identifying and solving problems related to the reliability of systems and equipment to increase the overall uptime and availability, and to reduce the number of failures and downtime.
You will work with and guide all stakeholders in the CLCM on technical matters including Logistics Support Analysis (LSA), Maintenance Requirements Determination (MRD), and Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) on the PBS.
The role is based out of Garden Island Defence Precinct, Sydney.
Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of the role will include, but is not limited to:
+ Analysing systems and equipment failure historical data to identify patterns and trends
+ Use statistical analysis to predict system reliability and risk of failure
+ Conducting failure investigation and root cause analysis (FTA, FBD, RBD, 5 whys analysis, Fishbone, FMECA, FRACAS, RCM analysis etc.) to determine the underlying cause of problems and prevent recurring failures.
+ Conduct standard activity and maintenance task analysis to identify and minimize possible gaps in recommended maintenance.
+ Analyse performance metrics and benchmark performance across the platform against the RAM metrics
+ Document and communicate reliability analysis and testing results
+ Developing and implementing new maintenance strategies and routine maintenance checks to reduce risk, improve system performance
+ Finding new technology and processes that can improve equipment performance and reliability.

Essential:
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience coupled with relevant qualifications).
