Bus Drivers / Utility - Savannah Nickel Mine

  • 52 Seater Bus Driver with Solid experience wanted!

Are you a Bus Driver / Industrial Utility worker who is keen on covering a flexible dual role providing transportation services at Savannah Nickel Mine?

Airport transfer from Kununurra airport to camp run 3x per week (2,5hr per trip). Remaining duties will consist of industrial cleaning / utility works.  The village consists of 170 residents and boasts 2 gyms, an onsite swimming pool and a Tavern and BBQ area and has a real easy feel about it. Our kitchen offers a well-balanced diet full of nutritious healthy options and our rooms are air conditioned with ensuite rooms, room cleaning and laundry facilities. About the Role:

We are seeking someone who is versatile, energetic and has a positive attitude. As a Bus Driver will ensure the safe transportation between the Village Camp and Airport for all guests whilst providing exceptional customer service. Between commutes, as an exciting dual role, you will provide utility support to other aspects of our camp management services.

This role consists of 30% Bus Driving and 70% Utility work!

Duties Include:

  • Safely transport village workers to and from the airport
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and carry out minor maintenance
  • Ensure vehicle record keeping and documentation is fully maintained
  • Assisting the team with baggage handling
  • Perform other suitable duties within the camp management services
  • Industrial cleaning duties such as mopping, wipping surfaces, taking out garbage etc

About You:

  • A current Heavy Rigid (HR) Drivers Licence and Passenger Transport Driver Authorisation (mandatory)
  • Previous experience transporting passengers- preference will be given to FIFO experience
  • Minimum of 1 year experience driving 52 seater buses
  • Physically fit and energetic with the ability to pass an extensive pre-employment medical assessment, including regular drug and alcohol testing
  • Ability to work in remote locations and in extreme weather conditions
  • Experience following safety processes and procedures
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as a member of a team
  • Unrestricted Australian work rights
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
