About the company:

Our client is a Queensland based firm that specializes in the carbon and agricultural space. For over ten years, their dedication has been to supporting producers and landholders in carbon sequestration efforts and improving soil health. With a skilled team comprising scientists, carbon management specialists, agricultural professionals, and soil experts, they are now looking for a Carbon & Sustainable Agriculture Officer to join their team. This role can be based across multiple cities in Queensland (preferably central Queensland) where you will also be collaborating across teams and disciplines.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with primary producers for successful carbon farming projects through ERF.
  • Assist Producers in developing project plans and assessing feasibility.
  • Provide guidance on ERF project methodology requirements.
  • Represent the company at various industry events.
  • Adhere to the CMI code of conduct.
  • Foster and manage relationships with project stakeholders.

Key requirements:

  • Strong understanding of agronomy and carbon farming with at least 5 years of experience
  • Expertise in carbon offset methodologies under ERF and spatial mapping are highly desirable
  • Ability to travel to remote project sites on an ad hoc basis with a manual driver's license
  • Passion for carbon and GHG emission reduction, regenerative agriculture, and sustainability
