Darwin/NT based Clinical Director, you will be inspired to implement leadership, structure and clinical governance.
The Health Service provides a wide range of primary care, acute and specialist services.
The area offers a unique lifestyle suitable to a wide variety of interests. It is in the heart of the tropical north and is the primary gateway to northern Australia. This town is an ideal base to explore the wider region with front door access to the Great Barrier Reef, rainforests and outback locations.
The successful candidate will be an energetic, innovative practitioner willing to be active in the ongoing organisational and clinical development of the Emergency Department.
Good communication skills and commitment to ensuring the best clinical outcome for patients and families are essential.
They have a strong team of experienced emergency physicians with a supportive multidisciplinary team environment and a strong focus on teaching.
In collaboration with the Clinical Directors of Retrieval and Primary Care (South Australia), oversee delivery and quality assurance of Top End based services encompassing contracted long haul aeromedical retrieval services to/from Darwin, evolving Rural Generalist remote and outreach services, and arising remote emergency/urgent care services.
Requirements:
- General medical registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
- Fellowship with ACEM, ANZCA or ACRRM/RACGP with JCCA .

- Flexible hours available

- Work visa can be provided for this role
- Expected salary: $400,000 - $550,000 per year
