Consulting Manager - Business Process Analysis and Improvement

Role Overview  

We are seeking an experienced Senior Consultant, Consulting Manager or a Process Improvement Manager to join ourteam to work with our rapidly growing independent digital transformation consulting team. You'll help medium/large sizedorganisationsstreamline and digitisetheir business process. 

We support a range of clients, across all industries, at any one time and you’ll manage a variety of projects, primarily focusing onthedetailed analysis and review of a business and their existing operations and technology footprint. SMC also support clients withEnterprise Software Selection, Implementation Planning and Readiness (i.e. setting the projects up for success) and also the full Implementation life-cycle to go-live and benefits realisation. This a varied role in a fast-paced environment. 

As an SMC Consulting Manager, you will be part of a high-performance organisation, workingwith exceptionally smart and driven colleagues as part of a team. You will need to have a strong desire to learn and take on new challenges, as every day will be different. 

What we are looking for  

A star performer with a minimum of five years of experience, preferably working for amanagement consulting company or enterprise software implementor focusing on business analysis, process improvement and requirements definition across multiple functional areas. 
 
Experience in implementing digital transformation projects involving enterprise solutions such as an ERP, CRM or HCM is highly desirable. 

A hands-on, driven and committed performer, leading by example that is willing and able to get involved and “roll their sleeves up” to take responsibility for outstanding outcomes. 

Major Responsibilities  
  • Become an expert in applying SMC's proven methodology to drive valued improvements for our client’s business success. 
  • Lead process analysis (Analyse and Blueprint) projects across multiple industries and functions that include: 
  • Facilitating workshops to document business processes andrequirements across multiple industries and functions, on-site or virtually 
  • Developing and presenting optimised future state processes by leaning out processes and applying knowledge of modern enterprise systems/platforms.
  • Engaging the client in constructive and value-added discussionsthat drive the project forward and add insight to the client’s business 
  • Working side-by-side with SMC executives and the leadership team,managers, senior consultants and consultants in deliveringclient engagementsand fostering client relationships. 
  • Guiding and mentoring junior members of your project team 
  • Ensuring that projects are delivered at a high quality, on time and on budget. 
  • Engage in ongoing learning, keep up with industry trends and developments including process improvement, enterprise systems and digital transformation. 
  • Working with the Executive team and the Head of Analyse and Blueprint to further improve and refine the deliverables and methodology 

Assist with preparing proposals and other internal improvement and sales-oriented activities. 

Job Requirements
  • Demonstrated Enterprise Software Implementation experience.
  • Demonstrated Business and Systems Analysis experience. 
  • Demonstrated Project Management experience. 
  • Strong analytical skills. 
  • High level of competence with Microsoft Office - PowerPoint, Word and Excel - and familiarity and use of business process mapping tools. 
  • High level of competence with Microsoft Teams. 
  • A strong academic record and a sharp mind. Bachelor degree minimum withpost graduate qualifications preferred. 
  • Excellent communication skills with absolute proficiency in written and spoken English. 
  • Detail and goal oriented. 
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in both a digital and physical environment. 
  • Australian resident or working visa. 
  • Domestic travel may be required from time to time as SMC has clients all over Australia. 
  • Work from our office, adapt to our client’s work environment, as there are frequent visits to our client's sitesas well as awork from homescenario. 
  • Be able to work with a national team of consultants and managers both on site and virtually.
