As our Development & Training Manager reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage Performance, the F&B Development & Training Manager will be invaluable to our F&B department.

This is a fantastic opportunity where you will be able to communicate the learning strategy for Food & Beverage, as well as develop a program to strengthen outcomes across guest experience delivery and team engagement, whilst ensuring alignment of Diversity & Inclusion objectives.

A few of your responsibilities:  

  • Manage the planning, implementation and execution of all F&B training requirements
  • Enjoy leading the development of professional hospitality teams in a 5-star environment
  • Determine and provide strategic direction to the department, ensuring performance and organisational objectives are delivered
  • Ensure team members are trained to a high level of competency with a focus on guest service, experience and all Star Entertainment Group policies and procedures
  • Maintain accountability of the internal F&B accreditation process to enable the career development of F&B team members to be competency based
  • Partner regularly with People & Performance and F&B Leadership teams to identify career pathways, strengthen retention of talent, and embed leadership capabilities
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance obligations across the F&B team are clearly articulated and plans are developed to meet these

What we are looking for:  

  • Food & Beverage industry experience in a previous senior leadership role that includes people management
  • Exposure to both business and operational systems
  • High attention to detail and ability to solve problems
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage various stakeholders to support initiatives
  • Understanding of relevant rules and regulations around RSA and WH&S and its reporting requirements
  • Capability to facilitate change and build trust with a large team that is focused on guest service culture Collaborative approach and drive to build strong relationships with key stakeholders and leaders across the business as well as appropriate regulatory bodies
  • Passionate about influencing, leading and building a guest focused culture

An expert in the L&D space with hospitality experience, will enable you an opportunity to develop and effectively communicate the learning strategy for F&B, working with the team to deliver the Food & Beverage training pathway and ensure a career pipeline for our Team Members and Leaders.
