About the role

It's an exciting time to join Senex with the recent announcement that we plan to invest more than A$1 billion in a major expansion of our Atlas and Roma North natural gas assets.

We have an exciting, new opportunity available for two Field Health & Safety Advisors to join us in permanent, full time back-to back positions based at our assets in the Surat Basin, QLD. Local residents are encouraged to apply however Fly-In-Fly-Out (FIFO) or Drive-in-Drive-Out (DIDO) options are available.

Working a 15/13 roster, the Field Health & Safety Advisor will be a hands-on role where some of your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Ensure field compliance with all aspects of the Safety Management System (SMS).
  • Drive a positive and practical safety culture.
  • Work with the Field Operations group to enable work in compliance with safety standards.
  • Liaise with corporate HS function to ensure compliance with policy, standards and procedures.


For those living within 4 hours of Roma, a Drive-In-Drive-Out (DIDO) option is available for the successful candidate.

About You

We're seeking a standout individual who not only vibes well with a culture that values individuality but also comes with a proven track record in handling demanding environments. Your ability to juggle priorities, multitask effectively, meet goals consistently, and keep a customer-focused approach makes you the candidate we're looking for.

Having your Certificate IV in Work Health Safety will be essential, along with the ability to showcase your understanding of the Work Health Safety Act and all relevant standards and codes of practice. Extra credit if you bring hands-on experience in the field, especially in Coal Seam Gas operations.

Your reputation will be built on your technical expertise and your knack for assuming responsibility for projects, actions, and decisions. This skill set will be instrumental when offering technical support to field operators or collaborating with other teams.
