Are you passionate about creating and maintaining vibrant green spaces? Do you have a knack for nurturing plants and landscapes? Super Gardens is on the lookout for an experienced gardener to take the helm at our prestigious Swinburne University campuses in Croydon and Wantirna. This is a unique opportunity to lead a team of two, including yourself and an apprentice, allowing you to truly make this site your own.

• Permanent Full Time position
• 38 hours per week
• Eastern suburbs location

We are currently seeking an experienced gardener to take charge of nurturing and enhancing the picturesque campuses of Swinburne University. This role transcends traditional gardening; it's about cultivating environments that not only survive but thrive and inspire.

Your day will be varied and tasks will include:

• Performing garden services such as pruning, weeding, leaf and rubbish removal
• Identifying and managing weeds, pests and diseases
• Planting, feeding and fertilising a variety of plants
• Assisting with minor landscape improvements and routine management of irrigation systems including fault reporting and necessary repairs
• Maintaining strong professional relationships with both Super Gardens colleagues and external stakeholders

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Cert III in Horticulture or Parks and Gardens
• A background in garden maintenance
• A manual driver's licence and Chemical Users Licence (ACUP) are highly desirable
• Familiarity with irrigation systems will be considered an advantage
• A true passion for gardening, combined with the initiative and leadership skills required to mentor and guide an apprentice
