About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Graduate Vehicle Compliance Engineer to join our team. This role involves ensuring all vehicle designs and finished products comply with relevant laws, regulations, and Vehicle standards specified by National Heavy Vehicle Regulator under Vehicle Standard bulletin 6 (VSB6). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of compliance requirements within the transport engineering sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with design, production and Quality teams to ensure that all vehicle builds meet legal, safety, and client specifications.
  • Stay updated with industry regulations and standards as specified by National Heavy Vehicle Regulator under Vehicle Standard bulletin 6 (VSB6) and Australian Design Requirements.
  • Participate in getting policies and procedure for Modification codes.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed compliance documentation and reports.
  • Assist in developing compliance checklists and protocols for use throughout the production process.
  • Work closely with government bodies and regulatory agencies to manage submissions, certifications, and approvals.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to design and production teams regarding compliance issues.

About You 

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a compliance or quality assurance role within the automotive or engineering industry.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle construction and design standards.
  • Familiarity with CAD software and engineering design tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Needs to have unrestricted work rights to work within Australia .
