Architects (Information & Communication Technology)
Reporting to the Director of Architecture, this role is part of the Technology, Data & Digital (TDD) group who are at the forefront of digital delivery and technology innovation for News Corp Australia, part of the Architecture leadership team.

Role Responsibilities
- Set the strategic direction for News Corps enterprise architecture, championing an architecture that is scalable, adaptable, and synchronised with ever-changing business needs and the complexity of a modern digital business.
- Align technology strategies with business goals and objectives
- Supporting News Corps strategic planning processes by providing an architecture and technology strategy lens.
- Working with business areas on strategic imperatives to ensure they are defined and set up for success.
- Drive alignment and governance across the various architecture domains.
- Creation of the current and future state enterprise architecture and strategy-driven architecture roadmap.
- Stewardship of the end to end architecture governance processes, ensuring alignment and adherence for all changes that impact the architecture of News.
- Creation of architecture standards and patterns that create efficiency gains, re-use and agility into our systems, processes and delivery.
- Engagement with key stakeholders to ensure architecture solutions meets business priorities and outcomes.
- Lead & nurture a high performing architecture practice comprising engaged and empowered employees. Includes mentoring, training and hiring of appropriate skills.
- Identify new technologies and foster innovation within the technology domains.
Who are you?
- 10+ years of Enterprise Architecture experience, ideally leading a team in this area.
- Experience enabling technology strategy and Enterprise Architecture roadmaps with digital products
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with technical and business stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience leading large scale initiatives from ideation through to delivery
- Media industry experience preferred (or other similar industry e.g. telco or other consumer focussed industries)
- Familiarity and understanding of Architectural concerns pertaining to data, security, digital and consumer domains
- Exemplary communication skills (written and verbal).
- Experience in a fast-paced large complex organisation
- Management of architecture teams with a strong focus on the achievement of key deliverables with the ability to lead & coach technical teams and deliver business outcomes
