Australian Family Lawyers (AFL) are the largest National “Specialist Only ” Family Law Firm in Australia and are the market leaders in the provision of quality family and relationship legal advice to Australians and overseas clients. We’re seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Lawyer to join our dynamic and fun Melbourne CBD Team.

As a Senior Family Lawyer, you will work with a large team of experienced and dedicated colleagues and have ongoing support at hand. A typical day will include:

• Advising clients in relation to divorce & separation, property settlements, child support related matters, relocations and de-facto and same-sex couples
• Regular client contact that is empathetic and service and outcome focused
• Building & maintaining strong client relationships
• Business development, including building solid referral networks
• File Management
• Supporting and supervising junior staff
• Liaising with a national team of highly experienced family lawyers in all aspects of day-to-day matters, including professional practice

You will:

• Have at least 5 years of PAE experience in Family Law
• Have a positive “can-do attitude” with proven experience in running your own cases and file management
• Be goal-oriented in achieving exceptional outcomes for clients and AFL
• Possess strong business acumen and understand the importance of managing time, achieving commercial outcomes, and be disciplined in debtor and time management
• Love to thrive on creating productive networks and referral relationships in your area
