Employment Type: Maximum Term (12 months
Maternity Leave Backfill)
Hours per week: 38 hours (plus
weekend and on-call as per roster requirements) - “Part-time will be
considered”.
Position Grade: Pharmacist Grade 3 (Year 1
- 2)
Salary: $127,372.36 - $130,818.75
Enterprise Agreement: The Named NSW (Non-Declared) Affiliated

About the role:
The Lead Pharmacist (Clinical) – Oncology and Ambulatory Cancer Services is a clinical and leadership role and is responsible for leading the provision of comprehensive pharmacy services across SVHS and affiliated services for Oncology and Ambulatory Cancer Services.
This position will be based at The Kinghorn Cancer Centre (TKCC), a joint facility between St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney and The Garvan Institute of Medical Research. The TKCC Pharmacy provides services to a busy outpatient day clinic, as well as to a dedicated inpatient Haematology and BMT unit, and supports medical oncology inpatients across the hospital.
The TKCC pharmacists work closely with the SVHS Clinical Trials Pharmacy Service who provide clinical trial services for medical oncology and haematology inpatient and outpatients.
The Cancer Services Team is part of the wider SVHS Pharmacy Department who strive to uphold the SVHA Mission and Values through their dedication to patient care and focus on professional development and research.
All Lead Pharmacist roles are integral members of the SVHS Pharmacy leadership team to provide strategic, clinical and operational objectives for the pharmacy service. The position will have joint responsibility with other Lead Pharmacist and Team Leader positions, to maintain leadership and management of the pharmacy service across all operational hours.

About you:
We are seeking a skilled and
energetic Lead Pharmacist (Clinical) who possess a passion for person
centred care.

Selection Criteria:
1.Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the
Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St
Vincent’s Health Australia.
2.Registered as a practicing pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with no conditions on scope of practice and post registration clinical or management/leadership qualifications or equivalent skills/experience, and availability for on-call and weekend work as per roster requirements.
3. Significant experience and a demonstrated high level of competence, expertise, skill and application of clinical judgment in the provision of Oncology and/or Haematology pharmacy services.
4.Demonstrated knowledge of eviQ guidelines, Drug and Therapeutics Committee processes including Formulary management and experience in the implementation of formulary decisions and policies and procedures and demonstrated experience in the use of Pharmacy and Oncology applications e.g.MOSAIQ, CHARM etc.
5. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including demonstrated ability to develop high quality written guidelines, procedures, educational, research or business materials.
6. Proven ability and commitment to effectively role model, champion and promote teamwork and to manage and develop staff (both formally and informally).
7. Demonstrated skills and experience in managing a complex workload, problem solving and development and implementation of initiatives.
8. Demonstrated commitment to professional development.
