What you’ll be doing in this role: 

We are currently looking for casual Nutritionist Assistants to assist and support the Clinical Dietitians in providing high quality, nutritional care to inpatients by the coordination of menu selection within the hospital.

Reporting to the Nutrition and Dietetics Team Leader, your key accountabilities will include:

  • Attending patient needs by going above & beyond to provide outstanding customer service
  • Recipe and menu development in planning for patient needs and their preferences
  • Ensure that all work completed is accurate, on time and in accordance with AHCL policies and procedures
  • Have great attention to detail in overseeing quality & presentation of food
  • Training and mentoring others
  • Follow, comply and advocate WHS practices within your scope of work

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience in a nutrition support role within the healthcare industry
  • Have used CBORD system software or similar
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service across a diverse customer base
  • Strong communication skills - written, verbally and over the phone
  • Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines while producing accurate, quality work
