Procurement Business Partner - Max Term Contract (6 months)

    The Opportunity

    We are currently seeking a ProcurementBusiness Partneron a6-month maximum term contract .The role will consist ofproviding support to the Procurement Manager, and RWWA Business Unitsto deliver cost-effective, compliant and sustainablysourced procurement solutions.

    Reporting to theProcurement Manager, you will be responsible for:

    • Assisting business units develop Requests for Quote / Tender and Expressions of Interest.
    • Assisting business units purchase from State Government Common Use Agreements (CUA’s) – where required.
    • Sourcing responses to Tenders and Quotes (over $50k) from Tenders WA.
    • Responding requests for information from Suppliersduring request processes.
    • Keeping up to date Tenders WA and internal Contract Management Systems and DocumentControl Systems.
    • AssistingTeam Leader and Manager during Audits (internal and external).
    • Leadingthe process for evaluation of responses to quotes and tenders.
    • Makingrecommendations for the procurement of goods and services as per RWWA requirements.
    • Workingwith Team Leader and Manager to ensure procurement activities are delivered in a timely manner.
    • Assistingpurchasers raisePO’sin line with budget and contract requirements.
    • Undertakingtasks as directed by Team Leader and Manager as required.
    • Actingethically and professionallyat all times.
    • Ensuringprocurement activities adhere to RWWA Procurement Policy and Framework.
    • Ensuringprocurement activities adhere to State Government Rules and Legislation.
    • Providingadvice to business units on procurement strategies.
    • Assistingthe Team Leader with training activities.
    • About you

      Ideally to be successful in this role you will need:

      • Tertiary qualification inBusiness Administration, Supply Chain Management, or relevant area (desirable).
      • Understanding of procurement processes, policies, systems.
      • Proficient computer skills including MS Office suite and CMS.
      • Ability to prioritise, multitask and manage time efficiently.
      • Comfortable working in a team or by oneself.
      • Accurate with a high level of attention to detail.
      • Ability toanalyseproblems and provide strategies and advice to solve issues.
