About The Opportunity

Our Strategy & Product Team is at the forefront of Micromine’s innovation efforts, and they continuously strive to assess market needs and the competitor landscape to identify and capitalise on opportunities. As the company continues to thrive, an opportunity has become available for a Product Strategy Manager to join the team at our Perth CBD office.

Reporting directly to the Chief Strategy & Product Officer, you will oversee all key drivers of product success, including defining the product vision and commercial offerings to help shape the future direction of our open-pit mining solutions.

  • Using your expertise and market feedback to define the product strategy for Micromine’s open-pit mining solutions and translating it into innovative road maps.
  • Working with software development teams to ensure the successful delivery of the roadmap.
  • Determining the profit model, including pricing structure, and quantifying financial impacts.
  • Defining product positioning, release plans, and contributing to marketing strategies.
  • Helping advance Micromine’s market position by keeping informed of global trends, client needs, and the competitor landscape.

About You

You will have a proven background in operational open-pit mining roles, including strong scheduling expertise, and exposure to hard rock environments.

Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:

  • A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Strong hands-on experience with a variety of mining software packages (e.g. Spry, Alastri, Deswik, Vulcan, XPAC).
  • Excellent commercial acumen, gained within either a product strategy or technical consulting environment.
