What’s the opportunity?

The Radiology Engagement Officer will perform a critical function in supporting the National Cancer Screening Register to implement the new National Lung Cancer Screening Program. 

As a key member of the project team, you will manage the relationships with key radiology sector stakeholders to enable the integration of radiologists to the National Lung Cancer Screening Register.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Operate as the lead point of contact for any matters specific to radiology integration and radiology stakeholders.
  • Lead all project activities relating to the integration of radiology providers to the NCSR;
  • The design and implementation of the change and engagement plan for the radiology sector;
  • Develop and execute stakeholder engagement strategy and initiatives, in alignment with the overarching Stakeholder Engagement Plan;
  • Advocate for radiology partners within the NCSR;
  • Build positive and collaborative relationships with radiology providers, radiology information system vendors, government stakeholders and peak/advisory bodies.
  • Lead co-design activities within the radiology sector, facilitating change initiatives, and ensuring seamless integration of technology solutions for the National Lung Cancer Screening Program;
  • Assist the delivery team to successfully onboard radiology providers, including liaising with radiology providers and vendors to incorporate integration into their Product Roadmap, and support their integration development and testing;
  • Manage projects to undertake design activities, usability testing, onboarding and training of end users;
  • Clearly explain and present ideas, adapt communication styles for the audience, actively listen, and prepare effective written materials;
  • Provide regular project status updates to the delivery lead and various internal stakeholders;
  • Contribute to team success, transfer knowledge, work collaboratively with others, and provide support to team members. 

Skills and knowledge

  • Experience in health IT systems.
  • Experience as an Engagement Manager or in a similar role.
  • Experience in working in senior roles within radiology sector (preferred).
  • Proven successful stakeholder engagement and advocacy capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate, present, and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Proven experience driving change within the health sector.
  • Strategic thinking and planning skills.
  • Attention to detail and solid analytical skills are essential for success in this position.
