The Diversity and Inclusion Branch (D&IB) is responsible forpromoting and supporting equity, diversity, inclusion andharmonious employee relationships within SAPOL. This will beachieved through a number of strategies including the developmentand implementation of inclusive workplace policies, processes andtraining; management of internal workplace behaviour notificationsand the conduct of complex and or critical workplace behaviourinvestigations relation to bullying, harassment, discrimination,victimisation and predatory behaviours.
The Senior Policy Officer leads the Policy and Development Unitwithin Diversity and Inclusion Branch and is accountable to theHead of Diversity and Inclusion for leading the development,implementation, monitoring and evaluation of a portfolio of complexstrategies, projects and tools that support diversity andinclusion. Through the application of extensive knowledge, theincumbent will be required to identify and establish initiativesthat build knowledge, capability and accountability to foster aninclusive workplace where diversity flourishes.
The Senior Policy Officer will also provide policy advice toSAPOL senior management and other employee groups includingresponding to enquiries raised in relation to specificnotifications and correspondence received by D&IB relating todiversity and inclusion issues.
The Senior Policy Officer will contribute to the development anddelivery of corporate and local workplace training programs.
Special Conditions
- The incumbent must hold a current Australian workeligibility status and will be subject to a criminal historycheck.
- The incumbent may be assigned to other duties at thisremuneration level or equivalent.
- Some out of hours work and intra/interstate travel may berequired.
- The incumbent is required to participate in SAPOL’siEngage program.
Salary
ASO7 - $106,512 - $115,137 per annum.
