Your Role and Responsibilities

As an Agile Software Solutions Consultant, you're first and foremost a domain expert in all things Agile and you're technically savvy, easily able to switch between technically led conversations about software architecture and business led conversations about Agile methodologies and ROI. You'll work closely with clients to develop relationships, understand their needs, earn their trust and show them how Apptio's industry leading solutions will solve their problems whilst delivering value to their business.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Opportunity Discovery: Assist in the identification of potential sales opportunities in IT business management challenges and vision for a solution to those challenges.
  • Opportunity Progression: Lead RFI/RFP responses, product presentations and demonstrations, clearly articulating how Apptio's offerings can deliver value.
  • Solution Definition: Deliver in-depth overview of Apptio's technical architecture and proprietary product capabilities that provide unique value in the market.
  • Educational Support: Providing proof of concepts and simplifying complex topics to educate clients, and knowledge sharing within the Apptio Solutions Consultant team.
  • Credibility Building: Establishing credibility and trust to facilitate the closure of intricate Agile tech deals.

    We are open to applicants residing in Sydney or Melbourne for this role.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Presales: Previous experience in a presales capacity successfully selling Agile software solutions (ideally) to organizations of various industries.
  • Expert in Agile Methodologies: eg SAFe, and Lean Portfolio Management and experience with Agile planning tools.
  • Organisation and planning: Strong organisational skills, ability to multi-task and prioritise time in a fast paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Business Goal Translation: Translating business goals into technical solutions through collaborative teamwork.
  • Stakeholder Influence: Utilising strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence diverse senior stakeholders within enterprises.


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Degree: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance or equivalent
  • Domain Certification: Any Agile Certifications highly regarded
  • Enterprise Business Management Software: Familiarity with ERP tools such as SAP, Peoplesoft, JD Edwards etc
