Wood APAC Minerals & Metals team is currently delivering critical metals projects, including Copper, Nickel, Lithium, Vanadium, Rare Earths, and Base Metals. This portfolio of projects ranges from studies through to EPCM packages working on developments in Australia and internationally.

Wood is currently seeking a Senior/Lead Electrical and I&C Engineers for site-based opportunities located south of Perth. This opportunity will be max Term at 12 months and is flexible between office and site. Great exposure to Site and Office Engineering!

We are looking for a Senior/Lead experienced in the detailed engineering and execution of medium to large scale EPCM projects in the critical minerals sector, with some experience in hydrometallurgical developments. Your passion for working in dynamic and agile industries will see you drive a collaborative and cohesive working relationship between our clients and internal teams, to identify and deliver optimal solutions for project requirements.

You will also have:

  1. Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution
  2. Member of Engineers Australia, or willing to work toward membership
  3. Design experience in wet and/or dry mineral processing plants, preferable not essential
  4. Site experience either in construction, commissioning, or operations, is desired but not essential
  5. Prior experience within cross alignment of mechanical/piping/pumps and hydraulic design engineering would be a desired skill set for wet plant processing
  6. Ability to problem-solve effectively and identify technical and safety-based risks, with commitment to HSE
  7. Well-developed computer skills and knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, and engineering programs
  8. Ability to work to a timeframe and deliver on budget
  9. Full working rights within Australia
