We're seeking a motivated and
experienced S enior Risk Specialist to join our Buyside
Portfolio A nalytics team covering Australia and New Zealand.
T he role has two primary responsibilities :
Provide expert knowledge of our risk solutions to clients and prospect s to grow and retain our client base across s uperannuation, a sset m anagement, a sset c onsultants, i nsurance, and w ealth firms .
Pro mote our risk solutions , and elevate client experience via thought leadership, research , best practice, and model insights.
The role requires collaboration with a diverse group of teams a t FactSet including Sales, Product Management, Software Engineering, Risk Model Validation, and our Analytics Leadership team.
T his position is the perfect fit for a candidate with experience in supporting, operating , or selling a multi-asset class risk system , and an eagerness to engage directly with risk professionals to promote our solutions.
What You’ll do:
Support pre-sales effort including answering RFPs, performing sales presentations, conducting solution demonstrations, and managing trials.
Provide thought leadership, research , insights, and best practice advice to our clients and prospects through variou s channels including client roundtables, participation at industry events, conference panels, a rticles, risk advisory groups etc.
Maintain k nowledge of our overall risk solution including model construction , model validation , risk decomposition, stress testing, what-if analysis , and tail risk across all asset classes covered in the model, including Equity, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Commodities, Private Capital, and Real Assets
Understand our linear , monte-carlo, and full repricing approach es to risk.
Share i ndustry knowledge and competitor updates internally
Collaborat e with
clients, account consultants, risk spec ialists, r isk
researchers, quantitative developers, software engineers , and
product developers to better understand local business
requirements , improve our product , and take market
share from our competitors.
What We’re Looking For:
8 years industry experiences , with a minimum of 5 years experience working in an investment market risk role.
Strong knowledge of technology within risk workflows and enterprise operations .
Strong knowledge of multi-asset class risk systems and the competitive environment .
Bachelor’s Degree , ideally in Finance , Economics, or Math related field .
Strong verbal communication skills , presentation skills, and team work skills .
Agile,
action-oriented, quick thinker: deliver results fast by making
simplifying assumptions and take time to dive deeper if our business
priorities allow and the problem demands.
Any of the following will be considered an advantage:
Familiarity or comfort using API/Programming environments , such as Python.
Experience in the space of fixed income , derivative , and real assets modeling .
Knowledge of markets and principles of quantitative modeling in finance.
