The Project:

This position will be based in Cairns, QLD on a project being delivered for the local municipality.

The project scope is to refurbish nine concrete potable reservoirs to include concrete remediation, access upgrades, roof replacements, crack injection, internal and external protective coatings. The scope is to be delivered over two separable portions, with phase one executed between Feb – Aug 2024.

About You:

This is a great opportunity for a Skilled Labourer/ Trade Assistant to join our "Structures team" on a reputable project. Therefore, you will work closely with our Leading Hands to achieve smooth operations whilst displaying your skills in a close knit, high achieving team. This is a genuine opportunity to diverse your skills with a robust company and become a "go to person" for all job specific activities on this project. What we need:

• 3+ years construction experience
• Some experience on concrete remediation projects (ideally in building, bridges, wharves and treatment plants)
• Exposure to concrete spall repair and diverse concrete coating application methods
• Some understanding of concrete crack repair and Carbon Fibre strengthening
• Construction Induction Card (White Card)
• Knowledge of Australian WHS requirements and processes
• A Current Driver’s License
• Interested in working in a diverse and multi-skilled team on widely varied water and wastewater projects
• Be locally situated with QLD residence
• Be interested in career progression and want to take on client-facing responsibilities
