**Our team**
The Desktop Build Group (DBG) works closely with Bloomberg's existing and prospective clients to find solutions to business needs using Bloomberg's API for Excel, Power BI and Python. Last year we delivered over 2500 projects to clients and our solutions on the Bloomberg Terminal are used by over 120,000 financial professionals. We are a global team with colleagues based in London, New York, San Francisco, Sao Paulo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo and Sydney.
**What's the role?**
You will use your financial markets knowledge to consult with Bloomberg clients or prospective clients, helping them to develop and implement their investment strategies and research on leveraging our cutting-edge query language (BQL). With access to the world's most comprehensive financial database, you will have a direct impact on Bloomberg revenue by working closely with our generalist and product sales teams to develop new tactical desktop solutions to sell Bloomberg Terminals. Your role will involve full life-cycle development, from initial demos to prospective clients, requirement gathering, prototyping, implementation, deployment and adoption. In addition to developing client solutions, you will be expected to create resources and client-facing content that is both strategic in its appeal to our audience, while also taking advantage of current events in the marketplace.
**We'll trust you to:**
+ Partner with our sales and account management teams to build tactical Excel, Python, Power BI and API-based solutions solutions to increase revenue opportunities for the company
+ Support enterprise level implementations, including discovery, requirements gathering, solution architecture, prototyping, development, testing, and deployment
+ Liaise between the client, product development teams, R&D to push internally for proper prioritization of BQL data availability
+ Provide assistance on new strategies or migration projects the clients wish to implement by using BQL.
+ Work on projects to provide product gap solutions for the Bloomberg Terminal and other enterprise offerings in portfolio analytics, risk, and research
+ Create reusable technical resources, demos and client-facing content that showcase Bloomberg data, analytics and API capabilities
**Training and team support will allow you to gain:**
+ In depth knowledge of the Terminal and Bloomberg APIs
+ A deep understanding of financial markets and investment processes on both buy-side and sell-side
**You'll need to have:**
+ Minimum 2 years of experience working in financial services or a financial technology company, with expertise in one or more asset classes (Equities, Fixed Income, Commodities, FX, etc.)
+ Strong technical knowledge of Excel and Python
+ A strategic mindset and proven commercial acumen which allows you to weigh up the business opportunities of a project before execution
+ Confidence to have highly articulate and consultative interactions with clients
+ Strong presentation and communication skills in English
+ Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organization
+ Previous experience using Bloomberg Terminal or other data vendors

**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in scientific discipline or health care.
+ Requires at least 9 months of independent on-site monitoring experience.
+ Equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
