**The Role:**
Northrop Grumman Australia supports the RAAF C‑27J Spartan fleet. The C‑27J Spartan supports real-world missions, from disaster relief to regional operations.
This role sits within Base Maintenance at RAAF Base Amberley. You will perform critical inspections that keep aircraft safe and mission ready.
This is not a narrow scope NDT role as you will work across multiple inspection methods, not just one.
You will operate in a structured, compliant Defence environment. Processes are clear, expectations are known, and standards matter.
You will work closely with AMEs, Crew Leads, and engineering teams. Your input directly supports defect identification and resolution.
The work is varied across Line and Heavy Maintenance activities. Each job brings different challenges, not repetitive tasks.
Australian Citizenship and Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline AGSVA security clearance are mandatory to be considered for this opportunity.
**Key Responsibilities**
You will contribute across inspection, reporting, and team delivery activities:
+ Perform NDT inspections across multiple approved inspection methods

You are confident working across multiple NDT certification aligned to EN4179/NAS410 methods. You understand structured maintenance and approved documentation systems. You value safety, compliance, and doing the job properly. You are reliable in teams and communicate clearly under pressure.

This system modernisation program is looking for a talented Test Manager with expertise in driving testing outcomes and managing vendors. As the Test Manager you will be managing a small testing practice and the deployment of testing resources and testing approaches. You will be collaborating with technical resources as well as the business stakeholders. You will need strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to ensure high-quality deliverables in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Create and execute fit for purpose test plans and test cases, in accordance with the project's testing strategy.
  • Document traceability between requirements and test cases.
  • Document test scripts, materials and regression test packs to test new and amended software or services.
  • Automate testing activities where possible, including through the development of bespoke test harnesses.
  • Specify requirements for environment, data, resources and tools to facilitate efficient and effective testing.
  • Interpret, execute and document complex test scripts.
  • Record and analyse actions and results, maintain a defect register, to progress defect resolutions and regression testing.
  • Provide reports on testing progress, anomalies, risks and issues.
  • During testing work closely with business stakeholders and business analysts to review application process defects and recommend corrective action.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for projects.
  • Build and maintain productive working relationships.
  • Good analytical skills and an attention to detail.
  • Good communication and writing skills and the ability to produce clear documentation that aligns with agreed requirements, specification and outcomes.
  • Experience with IT system implementations
  • Requirement to hold and maintain an NV1 Security Clearance.

**About the role**
As a Senior Test Analyst (Automation), you will make an impact by owning the end-to-end test strategy and automation approach for Identity UI, API, and WDM platforms - driving robust quality assurance, automation coverage, and production readiness. You will be a valued member of the Identity Testing Chapter, working collaboratively with Delivery Managers, Iteration Managers, Project Managers, Architects, and data specialists.
In this role, you will:
+ Own and drive end-to-end test strategy execution - leading both planning and hands-on test execution on large Identity platform initiatives, ensuring outcomes meet project technology and functional requirements.
+ Design, implement, and continuously improve test automation frameworks and tooling (ForgeRock, Playwright/TypeScript), bringing industry best practices into the domain and leading teams to adopt them.
+ Lead problem determination and root cause analysis for production defects and test escapes, driving permanent fixes and continuous improvement in test design, data readiness, and automation logic.
+ Partner closely with Delivery Managers, Iteration Managers, Project Managers, Architects, and data specialists to align testing approaches and strategies using lean and agile methods.
+ Create, maintain, and govern reusable testing assets (strategies, test cases, plans, scripts, documentation) and foster a safe, innovative, results-driven testing culture.
**What you need to have to be considered**
+ Strong experience in test automation and framework design, including defining test strategies and approaches for projects of varying complexity.
+ Highly skilled in ForgeRock for Identity platform testing, with experience defining and governing test automation using Playwright and TypeScript.
+ Experience building and maintaining Continuous Integration pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) for test automation suites, and skilled in system configuration, integration, and end-to-end testing.
+ Experience working in agile delivery environments and distributed teams.
+ ISTQB Test Manager certification; tertiary qualification in Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline desired, or equivalent experience.
+ Experience in the Property & Casualty insurance industry (Auto and Home lines of business), including validating downstream flows such as payments, document generation, and reporting.
