SR FIELD APPLICATION ENGINEER

**Job Overview**
TE Connectivity's Field Application Engineering Teams work intimately with customers to recommend products and solutions for new and existing applications. They identify new applications, requirement modifications and enhancements to meet customer specifications and conduct on-site installation and service of product and are responsible for all technical aspects of the sales cycle for potential application of company products to meet customer needs, including identifying opportunities; determining solutions; creating demand; preparing detailed product specifications and technical marketing support; ensuring high quality and timely project execution and conducting follow-up technical support. They also approve operational quality of systems and equipment.
The Field Application Engineer (FAE) is responsible for providing technical support for technical services and application engineering functions. This will include close interaction with the product management, sales, engineering groups and external customers for the High Voltage Cable Accessories portfolio for applications up to 245kV system.
**Job Responsibilities**
+ Preparation and management of product documentation such as bills of materials and installation instruction, and TE part creation (TCPN Creation)
+ Provide product selection advice to customers and internal sales team.
+ Application engineering / customization of existing products to meet customers' requirements.
+ Customer support during introduction and installation of new and existing products on site / at customers' facilities
+ Product demonstration, training, and presentation; this will require jointing skills to be able to install Cable accessories products for High Voltage applications up to 245kV.
+ Liaise with Product Management and Engineering as part of the new product development process providing ideas and customer/application requirements.
+ Provide technical input into the tendering process.
+ Train the customers on new and existing products.
+ Travel domestic/international as required to provide product training and demonstration + customer visits

**Job Requirements**
+ Qualified cable jointer up to 245kV cable accessories applications
+ Engineering background in electrical is preferred
+ 10+ years of cable accessories installation / application experience.
+ Would have served a craft apprenticeship within the electrical engineering field and would be qualified to Degree or HND level in Electrical Engineering, or trade qualified cable jointer
+ Ideally would have experience of working within the Power Utility or Cable/accessory industry.
+ Highly practical in nature with good hand skills with an aptitude for problem solving.
+ Computer literacy and hold a valid driving license.

The Opportunity:
L3Harris Communications Australia (L3HCA) Public Safety and Professional Communications Division (PSPC) Field Technician is responsible for providing quality technical outcomes across a growing PSPC customer base in Australasia.
The Field Technician will support programs during the Sustainment phase and will work to provide high levels of customer satisfaction, whilst maintaining contract compliance.
Based in Brisbane, you will provide technical support, local/remote repair/testing, training and Customer Service solutions to both L3Harris customers and other technical staff under Maintenance and Support programs. This role would suit a highly skilled and experience senior support technician that can, work autonomously, make recommendations for process improvements and desire to support Public Safety and other mission critical government agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Testing and remediation at localised levels for L3Harris supplied products;
+ Monitoring, tracking and controlling all assets between the customer and L3Harris Communications (Brisbane)
+ Conduct Preventative Maintenance Inspections of supplied radios.

**About the role:**
Our Water Group is growing, and we have a terrific opportunity for talented **Senior Electrical Engineers** experienced in delivering water infrastructure solutions. In this position you will play an integral role amongst a diverse group of highly skilled professionals that 'design with community in mind' to deliver program and project excellence for our water clients in both metropolitan, regional, and remote contexts.
We have a healthy workload focused on water supply and sewerage schemes with key water authorities in Queensland. You will join a dynamic and skilled team that works on water infrastructure projects, not only locally, but across the APAC region.
**As a Senior Electrical Engineer you will:**
* Perform broad, varied and diverse engineering design tasks on assigned projects under general supervision of the lead or manager, including engineering drawings, engineering reports, presentations, and required applications to regulatory and/or funding agencies.
* Engage in the development of design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats, and prepare and revise documentation in various electrical phases including layout drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams, submittal reviews and response to information requests as required.
* Evaluate electrical systems, products, components and applications by researching, analysing, selecting, and applying electrical engineering concepts, approaches, techniques, and criteria.
* Assist project engineers with developing and managing the project scope including cost estimates, budget, staffing and schedule.
* Assist the senior project electrical engineer in preparing the conceptual, preliminary and final design and attends client project requirement meetings.
* Involved in the permit process, which may require meetings with clients, contractors, reviewing agency personnel and governing entities.
* Prepare portions of engineering project proposals, change orders, client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.
* Apply technical skills and commitment in a way which ensures projects are thoroughly designed, personally reviewed and delivered on time.
* Coordinate technical activities and designs with personnel in other disciplines and departments serve as a liaison between senior engineer and design team.
* Lead and personally contribute to the continuous improvement and consistent application of agreed technical design standards and processes within the Section.
* Prepare electrical engineering feasibility studies by analysing engineering design, conducting environmental impact studies, and assembling data.
* Provide independent technical review services for projects as requested by Project Engineers within the Section and for other offices as co-ordinated by the SM.
**To be successful for this role you'll present:**
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering - Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
* Chartership or working towards is highly regarded.
* Atleast 6 years' experience in consulting or engineering within the water industry.
* Proven electrical design experience in the water and wastewater industry.
* Strong technical experience in potable water supply, gravity and pumped sewerage systems, and recycled water networks.
* Experience in water and wastewater treatment plants for regional and urban water authorities (highly desirable but not essential).

This SAIC program provides full-service facility management support to a major United States Government (USG) organization. We conduct end-to-end project management and facility engineering functions for locations throughout the world.
The ideal candidate serves as an interface between the USG facilities management organization, design and construction contractors, Site Operations and Maintenance (O&M) contractor, local utilities, and all other customers and stakeholders on matters related to customer requirements, project prioritization, and execution. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing all phases of the project life cycle to include requirements development, design, construction, and closeout. The candidate will focus on the construction, recapitalization, and planning of electrical systems as well as other types of projects. The candidate will:
+ Act as the facilities liaison, reporting to and coordinating with USG representatives at all organizational levels
+ Oversee the Site O&M support contractor and A/E during project execution to ensure that customer requirements are accomplished on time, to the specified quality, and within budget
+ Review and provide comments on project proposals
+ Plan, monitor, coordinate, and execute complex electrical tasks
+ Develop and manage electrical project plans, conduct design reviews, and coordinate project approvals
+ Develop status reports, project schedules, and cost estimates
+ Supervise, plan, and actively participate in Factory Acceptance Testing; and
+ Participate in root cause analysis following an electrical anomaly
**Qualifications**
+ **Active TS/SCI clearance with Poly or the ability to obtain one**
+ A minimum of 10 years of experience with facility operations, specifically with electrical systems

+ Basic knowledge and understanding of the government organization and method of conducting business
