**About the role**
Stantec is seeking an experienced Project Manager/Civil Engineer to join their Project Delivery Team. As an experienced Project Manager/Civil Engineer you will apply essential engineering expertise to a wide range of projects across NSW. Your day to day tasks will be diverse and offer valuable experience. The role will provide you exposure to various activities, including client facing project management, internal design project management, engineering assessment, stakeholder management and exposure to construction phase tasks. This position will support Stantec's Community Development business, based in Sydney or Wollongong.
Working as part of the team, with guidance from our senior engineers and support from our specialist engineering designers and technical leads, you will ensure that all projects are completed in accordance with relevant standards, specifications, and drawings. Your role is crucial in delivering high-quality outcomes to our clients, requiring a sound knowledge of civil engineering and construction processes. **Day to day tasks would involve:**
+ Perform client facing Development Application and Subdivision Works Certificate project management tasks for the delivery of land development and infrastructure related projects from initiation through to construction.
+ Develop and maintain project programs, budget and delivery timelines to ensure profitability and liaise with relevant stakeholders as required
+ Preparation and update of civil engineering documentation including design reports, cost estimates, specifications, tender documentation, programs and schedules.
+ Apply civil engineering knowledge to various works which may include engineering drawings, calculations, reports, design criteria, to support engineering projects related to land development and infrastructure.
+ Perform site supervision and quality control inspections of civil infrastructure and land development projects, including adherence to design specifications, safety protocols and Local/State Government standards.
+ Assist in the review of engineering drawings and submittals, responds to request for information, prepares site observation reports, and perform other contract administration tasks.
**Qualifications**
**To be successful for this role you'll need:**
+ Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
+ Minimum 3 years working experience in project management, civil engineering and/or site supervision of land development and civil infrastructure projects
+ Engineers Australia Membership or eligibility
+ Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the interpretation of civil drawings, specifications and application of relevant legislation, standards and guidelines.
+ Strong technical expertise and ability to produce accurate design documentation.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Self-driven with proven experience in time management and organizational skills including the ability to manage resources and delegate tasks effectively.
+ Ongoing commitment to professional development through self-study, training and seminars, and maintaining your Continual Professional Development (CPD).

We have an exciting opportunity for a Construction Supervisor to join the KBR team in Adelaide. This role will be embedded with one of our major clients, SA Water. Working together with SA Water, our collective goal is to deliver an efficient capital program and infrastructure projects, safely, on time, within budget and to customer and community expectations. To do this we are working with SA Water and changing; by adapting a better, more sophisticated approach to how we plan, manage, and deliver the program.   
The Construction Supervisor will ensure the new civil works and treatment plants meet the required delivery outcomes and customer service level by supporting optimal construction delivery with regards to time, quality and cost through promotion of efficiency and innovation, safety and environmental best practice, including resource leadership, direction and capacity building.
Based out of SA Water House and travelling to sites when needed, this role includes providing technical advice and guidance to the construction and project team on enabling works requirements, civil works, mechanical & electrical works and commissioning/handover process.
Further to this, the Construction Supervisor is responsible for the following;
+ Ensuring all quality requirements of the project are carried out by the contractor in accordance with the technical specification and relevant technical Australian standards and guidelines.
+ Ensuring the project complies with necessary internal and external standards, acts and regulations, guidelines and design requirements are met.
+ Work with the Senior Project Manager to ensure project risks and opportunities are identified and assessed and necessary actions are taken.
+ Review of project activities against schedule and reported progress on a weekly basis, and report to Senior Project Manager
+ Monitoring of construction budget and support progress and final expenditure predictions being timely and accurate.

**About you**

As a Civil Engineer, you will work as part of the wider Data Center Design Engineering Team collaborating with our Real Estate, Construction and other partner teams. You will be responsible for the successful delivery of design delivery ensuring we continue to meet and exceed our industry leading quality and performance requirements.
Utilizing your Civil Engineering expertise, you will assist in site selection, assessment of due diligence reports, supporting with overall campus and site planning and development ultimately playing a pivotal role throughout the delivery of Data Center projects.
The successful candidate will be strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly with a history of delivering for their customers. The DCGS business requires creative engineering balanced with high quality and customer focus. You must be able to work as part of a large and dynamic team, including many internal stakeholders, customers as well as external stakeholders like design consultants, developers and general contractors.
Key job responsibilities
- Communicate conceptual designs and create/maintain project documentation before, during, and after construction.
- Develop and maintain design standards, design prototypes, and template specifications related to site design.
- Coordinate with Due Diligence teams to determine site selection criteria and review Due Diligence reports.
- Create, review, and release design RFPs.
- Manage our external civil/structural/architectural design consultants through the design and construction process.
- Review designs for grading, storm water, utilities, and pavement.
- Coordinate with internal and external Architecture, Structure and MEP design engineers.
- Effectively communicate design standards to internal and external project partners.
- Manage multiple fast paced projects simultaneously.
- Think outside of the box to find innovative solutions prior to and during the construction process to reduce costs without negative impacts on quality or reliability.
- Travel for site assessments, internal design meetings, construction review, and interfacing with authorities having jurisdiction. Anticipated travel is approximately 25%.

You are a design focused Principal Civil Engineer experienced in detailed design, running projects, customer interaction and mentoring juniors.
