What You'll DoIn the role of Engineer, Electrical, your duties will include:

**Electrical Engineer for Power**
**This position is contingent upon contract award**
Amentum is seeking an **Electrical Power Engineer** to support a requirement for a US Government contract in the town of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory of Australia. This position supports efforts to be performed by Amentum including facilities Construction, Operation & Maintenance (O&M) and Support Services in an austere and remote location. Performance requires several unique functions given the isolated location of the Site which resides on a 4,400-acre facility which is self-sufficient and generates its own power and water. The contract supports Project Task Order (PTO) related efforts varying in complexity from minor/major system upgrades, renovations, to existing facilities, and new construction. The priority is to implement and maintain a successful O&M program to provide life, health and safety for site personnel, while ensuring continuous operations of the site infrastructure.
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ US Citizen with active U.S government clearance - TS/SCI with polygraph.
+ A degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university, and hold Professional Engineer (PE) licensure as an Electrical Engineer
+ Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in medium and low voltage industrial power distribution.
+ Experience in design of medium and low voltage distribution.
+ Experience with high voltage distribution and frequency conversion equipment
+ Experience working in secured/restricted areas, data centers (power and cooling), performing configuration management activities, and knowledge of the Uptime Institute Tier configuration topologies
+ Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and experience with the concepts, design, and engineering of electrical power distribution from both power generation and public utility power to rack mounted equipment
+ A thorough understanding of SCADA systems and Building Management Systems.

# Project Overview:
The Ar Rjum Project comprises a green field gold project with three open pit mining operations with associated waste dumps and ore stockpile, a processing plant, tailings management facilities, and supporting infrastructure including water supply, power supply, maintenance facilities, offices, temporary and permanent accommodation village. # Job Summary:
As Senior Electrical Engineer, you will work as part of an interdisciplinary engineering team to deliver medium to large EPC and EPCM projects. You will lead the design, development, modification, and evaluation of electrical components and processes. Your recommendations will resolve technical issues and ensure uniquely complex requirements of a project's electrical engineering aspects are met.
_This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. We are looking to hire a Senior Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and oversee electrical systems and projects. Reporting directly to the National Engineering Manager, the Senior Electrical Engineer will ensure that all electrical engineering activities align with industry standards and company objectives.
We are open to candidates from power distribution (low and medium voltage), as well as critical power systems and services.
**Key Duties:**
+ Lead the design and development for electrical systems.
+ Manage and oversee electrical engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
+ Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
+ Ensure all electrical systems and projects comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
+ Identify and resolve complex electrical engineering issues, utilizing advanced analytical and troubleshooting skills.
+ Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, project reports, and maintenance manuals.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, project managers, and external contractors, to achieve project goals.
+ Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and performance.
**Qualifications:**
+ Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a proven track record of managing complex projects.
+ In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations, as well as experience with power distribution and control systems.
+ Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or related field
+ Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, NSol, PLC),
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities,
+ Excellent communication and leadership skills.

+ Engage with System Design activities (including trade studies) to ensure that the design artefacts are compatible with the baselined product; consistent across all subsystems, delivering system design to meet performance requirements.
+ Perform technical risk analysis as required in your work as the electrical engineer to support development and review of hazard logs, safety case arguments and risk mitigation actions.
+ Ensure assigned electrical systems/sub-systems are developed and implemented according to appropriate standards and procedures.
+ Collaborating with internal and external stakeholder; securing Raytheon's reputation as a trusted partner in delivering systems integration and mission support solutions to our customers.
**Skills, Experience and Qualifications**
+ Tertiary Qualification in relevant engineering discipline (eg Electronic, Communications, Computer Systems, Cyber); holding as a minimum tertiary qualifications and professional development sufficient to attain recognition as CPEng with Engineers Australia in a relevant engineering stream, including ability to attain RPEQ recognition.
+ Experience in an Engineering discipline including involvement in one or more of the following Engineering practices - Requirements Definition, Management, Analysis, Design and Verification and Validation.
+ Experience in effectively representing Engineering professional services to both internal and external customers.
+ Minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience (when a University Degree is held).
+ Practical to substantial knowledge of projects, programs, or systems relevant to the business with the ability to make enhancements and leverage knowledge in daily work.
+ Experience in product configuration control.
+ This position may require availability to travel when required.
