**About the role**
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Environmental Scientist to join our Contaminated Land team. Our team is experienced in planning and executing environmental site assessment and remediation projects which improve the health and wellbeing of the communities that we live in.
In this role you will provide strategic and practical solutions to clients with a broad range of environmental management challenges under the guidance of an experienced Project Director. **Day to day tasks would involve:**

We are seeking a Data Center Facility Manager to serve as a technical resource and leader within Amazon data centers. The position will help ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels of data center operations. The Data Center Facility Manager is responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment within the data center. The Data Center Facility Manager will assist in maintaining a high reliability and performance while keeping operating costs in facilities at a minimum. This equipment supports critical servers and must maintain better than 99.999% uptime.
This role acts as Amazon's front line when it comes to hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting. They will maintain, operate, and troubleshoot mission-critical data centre facility equipment including electrical support equipment such as stand-by diesel generators and related fuel systems, 3 phase electrical systems that include but not limited to switchgear, UPS units, PDUs, and wet cell batteries and associated systems. Mechanical equipment includes CRAC units, centrifugal chillers, cooling towers/water chemical system, air handlers and associated systems, pumps, and motors. Additional support equipment is included in the scope of the role which includes fire suppression systems, building automation systems, and general facilities equipment.
This position also has a physical component requiring the ability to lift & rack equipment up to 20 kg; it may require working in cramped spaces or in elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines. This role involves covering 24x7 shift rotation.
Key job responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the data centre's critical physical infrastructure. Ensure that all work performed within the space is done to high quality and without impact to internal/external customers
- Manage teams of 24x7 engineering technicians in all facets of their career
- Engage in improvement projects, often requiring reaching out to a variety of support teams, and drive them from conception to completion

Who You Are
KBR is in search of a skilled Facilities Operations and Maintenance Manager to lead overall operations, maintenance, and performance of our government customer's sites. The Facilities Operations and Maintenance Manager will be expected to travel between our facilities in Alice Springs and the local area. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.
What You'll Do
In the role of Facilities Operations & Maintenance Manager, your duties will include:
+ Direct the facilities' Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and repairs to include predictive and preventive maintenance including but not limited to: general maintenance of buildings/structures, ground services, engineering, central plant, fire protection/life safety, security, O&M, ground services, construction renovations, and custodial.
+ Develop equipment maintenance scheduling plans; Maintenance, testing, and inspection of appropriate equipment and systems shall be done in accordance with current applicable US Government and Host Nation codes
+ O&M of all structures, systems, sub-systems and components shall be in compliance with original equipment manufacturers' (OEM) instructions and recommendations
+ Utilize industry standard practices as a means of predictive maintenance for applicable service areas
+ Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the planned maintenance program, and implement any necessary modifications leading to the reduction of equipment failures or make recommendations for altering the planned maintenance program to increase efficiency
+ Formulating and enforcing operational and maintenance standards that support company objectives, contractual requirements and comply with regulatory and environmental standards
+ Hiring, training, and leading a competent workforce to be versatile and technically savvy
+ Orchestrating activities to align with the overarching contract requirements and to ensure smooth site operations

**About the role:**
The Oceania Operations division is seeking a business unit risk manager to support effective management of operational risk/operational resilience, working in collaboration with our second line-of-defence teams.
**What you'll be doing:**
The incumbent will own the implementation of the Operations division's risk strategy and drive effective management and governance in Oceania Operations by supporting risk management activities including:
+ Support all operational risk management activities in the business line (e.g., RCSA, Incident Management, Issue Management, Controls Assurance, Risk Governance etc.)

+ Work with regional and global peers to share and build best practices across the entire datacenter portfolio
**Qualifications**
**Required Qualifications:**
+ High School Diploma or equivalent AND 2+ years experience of mission-critical service management (e.g., providing IT services, manufacturing, warehouse, retail, military, or managing physical operations in an IT and/or critical environment infrastructure).
While not required, we also look for the following **Preferred Qualifications** **:**
+ 5+ years experience in Critical Environment infrastructures (e.g., UPS, Generator, AHU) AND 5+ years experience working in physical IT infrastructures (e.g., Servers, SANs, Networking, Capacity, DC Rack/Enclosures, structured cabling) AND Experience managing budget $500k+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Telecommunications, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field.
+ 3+ years experience in leading a diverse, technical team.
+ Applicable certifications: ASICS/Inventory Control, CompTIA, Microsoft, Network Certifications, CCNA Certifications, ITIL v3 Foundation, Microsoft Operations Framework (MOF) Certifications, Leadership Development Certifications, PMP, CDCP.
+ Bachelor's Degree or Technical College certification in mechanical or electrical engineering and/or services

**Key Tasks and Responsibilities:**
+ Perform the engineering for onshore and offshore pipeline systems; this role requires thorough knowledge of design codes and shall be hands-on with the software used in the pipeline discipline
+ Perform conceptual, FEED, Studies, and detailed analyses and design as per design basis, project specifications, design codes, and standards; as such, they must have in-depth expertise in pipeline engineering as well as broad knowledge of the pipeline engineering discipline within the engineering function; they shall be able to apply knowledge and skills to a wide range of standard and non-standard situations
+ Prepare clear and accurate detailed design calculations and analyses including design reports and procedures; they shall have good time management capabilities to meet agreed deadlines and budgets and develop plans for short-term work activities in their own area

+ Be fully familiar with the project scope of work, specifications, schedule, and all inter-discipline requirements; including identifying concerns as early as practicable and taking appropriate initiatives to address the issues

+ Assist procurement personnel in procuring Discipline equipment, materials, and services; ensuring that work produced complies with Customer objectives and procedures; Procurement assistance includes preparing and reviewing requisitions, evaluating technical quotations, preparing queries, compiling bid tabulations and recommendations, preparing purchase requisitions, and coordinating with Procurement to expedite vendor documents, as directed by Discipline Lead Engineer
+ Assist in updating weight report based on receipt of vendor information
+ Review vendor and subcontractor submittals, checking for compliance with project specifications and providing comments as necessary
+ Perform design verification through single-discipline check/ inter-discipline check (IDC)
+ Provide technical support to all fabrication queries, including identifying defect/rectification requirements
+ Keep the Lead Engineer apprised of all activities and concerns, technical, budgetary and manpower related
+ Assist in providing inputs for actual, planning, and forecasting progress reports including associated productivity
+ Check final subcontractor and vendor data manuals to ensure that all requested data has been received and approved
+ Participate in internal, Customer, and third-party technical audits on engineering deliverables and vendor documents
+ Assist Lead Engineer with responses to Customer and other agencies (such as certifying authorities, auditors, third parties, etc.) on their review and approval
+ Capture lessons learned and enter into MDR's Lessons Learned system
+ Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience

**Essential Qualifications and Education:**
+ 8-15 years of experience in Oil and Gas with a major contractor or consultant predominantly performing detail design
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Master's degree is preferred)
+ Strong working knowledge of many design techniques and analysis methods, and detailed knowledge of the content and application of standards codes and guidelines as applicable
+ Preferably Registered Professional Engineer or member of professional engineering society as applicable
+ Seasoned knowledge of engineering standards and specifications
+ Good knowledge of engineering software
+ Able to work independently
+ Good working knowledge of English, both oral and written
+ HSE, TQM and cost-conscious
+ Good organizer, motivator, and supervisor
+ Keen on improving the effectiveness of the work
+ Show flexibility and ensure proper hand-over with regards to:
+ The reassignment to other departments/construction sites/fabrication yards
+ The replacement of colleagues during illness and holidays
+ The provision of assistance to other colleagues with heavy workloads (also other projects) when possible/desirable
