**Job Description**
As a Sales Support Consultant, you will provide regional sales support to the MineStar solutions sales team. You will work with regional sales reps, dealers, and their customers to grow the MineStar for the underground business. Additional responsibilities of this role will be to assist in the preparation and delivery of technical sales presentations and demos to dealers and their customers. You will be accountable for achieving sales targets within the assigned region. You will also be responsible for analyzing the territory market opportunities and trends to assist in the development of the annual business plan, Dealer growth plans, and marketing plans. You will work together with commercial support and product teams to develop commercial offers and programs. Additionally, you may be involved in trade and customer association events as well as other activities to assist in the execution of the product strategy.
To be successful, the Sales Support Consultant will understand the value drivers for mining customers for a variety of underground mining applications as well as profit streams throughout the customer and product/services lifecycle.
**Job Duties:**
+ Provide product subject matter expertise for the MineStar for the underground product line.
+ Provide regional sales forecasts for existing and new products.
+ Collect regional Voice of Customer and competitive intelligence for use in product development.
+ Develop campaigns to further sales of MineStar for underground in the assigned territory.
+ Assist with dealer-led opportunities.
+ Assist in preparing Responses to RFPs.
+ Provide sales training to sales reps and their dealers.
+ Support events & customer sales visits.
+ Accountable for sales targets by region for the MineStar for the underground product.
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree, preferably in Mining Engineering or a related field.
+ 5 years of professional experience in mining.

+ Experience with underground mining processes.
+ High-level Understanding of IP networks, radio communications, and onboard machine technology systems.
+ Ability to work in remote mining areas.
+ Excellent PC and IT skills.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

+ Ability to communicate clearly with customers to explain the product in a technical manner during sales presentations.

# Project Overview:
Bechtel Mining and Metals offers engineering, procurement, and construction services for customers in the mining sector across multiple commodities including Iron Ore, Bauxite, Alumina, Aluminium, Copper, Gold, Coal, Lithium and Rare Earths markets.

# Job Summary:
In this role, you will lead a team of process/chemical?personnel, estimate project staffing needs, and schedule and assign work. You will prepare estimates and work plans and review and approve process/chemical investigations and studies. Your leadership and technical expertise will ensure process safety and compliance, client satisfaction, resolution of issues, and that project requirements are met.

# Major Responsibilities:

# Education and Experience Requirements:

+ A recognized degree in Metallurgical, Chemical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited College or University.
+ Demonstrated capability of Process EGS and Supervisor for hydrometallurgical process flowsheets for Feasibility study to EPCM execution.
+ Broad commodities knowledge of processes for copper and gold flowsheets.
+ Ability to work in multinational project team group.
+ Knowledge of process systems, calculations, equipment, applications of methods, materials, and computers in the discipline.

**Innovate and Inspire:** Drive customer recognition of the incredible value of our product features, improved processes, and change management.
**Be the Expert:** Enhance your product-positioning knowledge for Caterpillar and provide invaluable feedback on product features and benefits.
**Field Explorer:** Identify and document job/application profiles based on real-world observations while working directly with customers.
**Industry Ambassador:** Elevate the industry's perception of Caterpillar and actively participate in related mining associations.
**Your Mission:**
Define mining site infrastructure, set up servers, install and configure MineStar products, and perform system upgrades with each new release. For this role, the primary focus will be to support the deployment and commissioning of the onboard hardware and software. Embark on-site visits to mining locations, ensuring seamless implementation and upgrades.

+ **Technical Excellence:** Experience in databases, engineering, mining technology or IT; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges. A passion for mining operations and technology products.

+ Technical Bachelor's Degree with relevant experience or 4 years experience in a related technical role
+ Technology hardware and software system implementation, preferably in a mining environment
+ Experience with harnessing/software on complex technology systems on heavy machines and communication networks
+ Experience of operating systems (Windows), database systems (SQL) and virtualisation technologies (VMWare/Hyper-V)
+ Experience with IT system architectures and enterprise level computing hardware / infrastructure
+ Experience in Fleet Management implementations is highly desirable
+ Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
+ Ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
+ Ability to undertake up to 50% domestic and international travel
**Top Candidates Will Also Have:**
+ Previous Cat MineStar System or other Fleet Management System knowledge.
+ Knowledgeable of the relevant programming languages; computing hardware, software, infrastructure elements, and current development processes and tools.
+ Knowledge of mining Fleet Technology, Caterpillar policies, procedures, and a general understanding of Caterpillar's organization.
