Position: Civil Engineering Draftsperson
Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 plus 12% superannuation
Hours: 38 hours
Mode: Full time

Experience required: Minimum 2 years’ experience in relevant roles.
We are currently seeking a skilled Civil Engineer Draftsperson to join our dynamic team and contribute to a variety of exciting projects.
Position Overview:
As a Civil Engineer Draftsperson, you will be instrumental in designing and developing plans for a wide range of civil engineering works, including drainage systems, water supply networks, roads, bridges, and more. This role combines technical drafting skills with hands-on fieldwork and data analysis to ensure successful project execution
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Design and Drafting: Prepare accurate sketches, plans, and designs for civil engineering projects, ensuring clarity and compliance with engineering standards.
• Fieldwork and Testing: Conduct and oversee fieldwork and laboratory testing to gather essential data for project development, including soil and material analysis.
• Instruction Interpretation: Understand and interpret work assignment instructions, applying appropriate engineering procedures and selecting suitable tools and equipment for tasks.
• Data Collection and Analysis: Gather and analyze data pertinent to project specifications, performing necessary calculations to support design and construction processes.
• Cost Estimation: Estimate material costs and resource needs for projects, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints and contract provisions.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect civil engineering works throughout various stages of construction, ensuring compliance with design specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Maintenance Oversight: Organize and supervise maintenance and repair activities for existing structures, ensuring their safety and functionality.
• Traffic Surveys: Conduct field surveys and traffic data collection to support planning and design efforts in transportation projects.
Qualifications:
• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or related field.
Skills and Other Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in civil engineering projects
• Proficiency in drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

+ Contributing to the continual improvement of systems, processes, and design standards

**Qualifications**
**To be successful for this role you'll need:**
+ Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years' relevant project technical experience in the consulting or engineering industry
+ Relevant tertiary qualifications (Civil Engineering)
+ CPEng/NER accreditation
+ Registered Design Practitioner or on pathway to achieve, highly desirable
+ Strong leadership capabilities and experience managing teams and projects
+ Proven ability to develop and maintain long-term client relationships
+ A track record of driving business performance through technical and commercial contributions
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on collaboration and influence
+ A proactive and strategic mindset with a passion for growing business and people
+ Experience in the civil related design and delivery of land development and building projects.
+ Experience in CAD based design platforms is preferred
