Your Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic Maintenance and Utilities – Maintenance Services Team.
The department provides essential engineering and maintenance support services on the CSL Behring Broadmeadows site. You'll also lead and manage a Mechanical trades team.
This is an ongoing day shift role with scheduled working hours (07:00-14:51).
Your Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Maintenance Services Mechanical & Refrigeration, your responsibilities will include:
- Provide maintenance and engineering solutions to improve plant and equipment reliability
- Provide leadership and supervision for Mechanical Technicians; manage maintenance activities during facility shutdown periods
- Ensure preventative, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities are performed safely and efficiently
- Investigate plant and equipment failures, determine the cause of failure, and develop permanent solutions
- Provide technical advice in support of Utilities plants across site
- Develop close working relationships with personnel in Utilities Engineering, Electrical & Instrumentation, Planning & Support and Quality teams
- Maintain training and documentation relevant to the mechanical team
Your Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical, process or similar engineering discipline.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a maintenance engineering position
- Experience in a GMP environment would be an advantage, but is not essential
- Previous experience in a supervisory role overseeing trades or contractors.
- Knowledge of maintenance systems and familiarity with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)

The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) in Avionics plays a critical role in ensuring the proper functioning, maintenance, and repair of avionics components and systems for one or more of the trade areas: Electronics (Radio & Autopilot systems); Instrument (Gyro, Indicating and Pitot Static systems); and Electrical (Battery Servicing).

The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME)- Structures is responsible for performing a broad range of heavy and line maintenance activities on aircraft maintained by the company whilst ensuring safe work practices.
Annual Salary AUD$92,088 to $119,714 + Super + Bonus.
**Your Responsibilities**
+ Promote and drive Jet Aviation Values and Compliance policy and procedure to support the desired company and facility culture
+ Be dedicated to exceeding the customers' expectations and delivering an efficient operation, whilst maintaining a safe environment.
+ Ensure that the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance is carried out in accordance with OEM and other approved publications/instructions using approved parts supplied from approved sources.
+ Make certain that you have been correctly trained and authorised to carry out the work assigned to them and that the procedures laid down in the Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) are followed.
+ Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance at the general direction of LAMEs or other authorised delegates.
+ Ensure compliance with all AD's, SBs, etc. prior to expiry of compliance and relevant to the aircraft.
+ Assist to carry out inspection and maintenance co-ordination and certification.
+ Assist to ensure all entries and certifications for work undertaken is completed and certified;
+ Ensure all data, release notes and certificates of conformance for components and parts used during servicing or maintenance are accompanying the respective work sheet/work package.
