**Department**
The Laundry Attendant position reports to the Executive Housekeeper and forms part of the housekeeping team.

**Duties will include but are not limited to**
+ Be familiar with all equipment used within the laundry and dry cleaning sections, including safety and cleanliness aspects.
+ Ensure that cleaning fluids and chemicals are correctly used and stored.
+ Be able to identify different types of fabrics and their laundering requirements.
+ Be able to control and class items according to fabric and colour.
+ Launder and dry clean items according to established formulas and procedures.
+ Ensure that damaged linen or uniforms are sent to the Uniform Room for repairs or recycling.

+ Deploy Food Safety Sanitation programs in area of responsibility (BU/Corporate)
+ Provide Food Safety Sanitation inputs into the IIM Projects across the region (IIM- Innovation & Initiative Management).
+ Elevate the continuous improvement and productivity in manufacturing processes, guaranteeing the efficiency and effectiveness of Food Safety and Sanitation
+ Actively manage regional Food Safety Sanitation programs in the MEU Business Units being the voice of the food safety, hygienic design , sanitation, Good Manufacturing Practices and Pest Management programs in compliance with the required company and legislative quality standards to ensure safe products for the consumers
+ Execute regional Food Safety/Hygienic Design/Utilities/ Sanitation capability building
+ Support the implementation a Food Safety Sanitation culture across the organization
+ Channel communication from Mondelez Supply Chain - MSC to maintain up to date and relevant the Food Safety Sanitation standards

+ Strong technical knowledge and experience on Food Safety programs, including HACCP, and pre-requisite programs (GMP, pest control, pathogen environmental monitoring, etc.)
+ Previous experience in cross functional teams leading, supporting resolution of technical issues, issue management and necessary improvements in compliance to company's policies and procedures.
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills; able to effectively communicate to all functions and levels within the organization.
+ Digitally savvy & data driven mindset.
**Education / Certifications:**

**About the Role:**
As the Houseperson in Housekeeping, you will be responsible for ensuring all guest corridors and floor pantries are consistently maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation, whilst running deliveries and errands as requested by guests and the Housekeeping Management team.
Working amongst a team of 60, you will support the Executive Housekeeper in the day to day operations as well as supporting the team to achieve our purpose.

**About the Role**
As the Team Leader in Housekeeping, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the department whilst ensuring adherence to the standards required by the department and the hotel. You will play a large role in the training and supervision of the Housekeeping team to ensure service levels and standard levels are always met.
Working in a team of 30, you will support both the Housekeeping Manager and the Assistant Manager in supervising and managing the day-to-day operations as well as supporting the team to achieve our purpose.

**Some of the responsibilities include:**
+ Assist in the rostering of staff and controlling manning levels regarding occupancy, service quality and, cost.
+ Ordering guest supplies, cleaning supplies, printing and, stationary.
+ Conduct daily operational briefings effectively
+ Assist in ensuring rooms are turned around to meet guest needs
+ Allocate daily duties to Housekeeping staff, monitor their performance, cleanliness standards, presentation of guest rooms and, assist them in their duties as required.
+ Conduct training courses for new associates and refresher courses for existing associates
+ Supervise associates within the department, ensuring that the correct standards and procedures are maintained
+ Assist in the development of staff and the effectiveness of all Housekeeping associates through appropriate training, coaching and/or mentoring
+ Ensuring the departments operational budget is strictly adhered to and all costs are strictly controlled
**Qualifications:**
+ A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
+ Refined verbal and written communication skills.
+ 2-3 years within Hotel Housekeeping
+ Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
+ Service-oriented style with professional presentations skills
+ Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, effective communicator and, effective in providing exceptional customer service
+ Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
+ Must have excellent organisational, interpersonal and, administrative skills

+ Maintain Security Clear Zone between single and double fence line; Along all fences (i.e., security, barbed wire property livestock fence); and Residential properties within the USG's portfolio.
