What You'll DoIn the role of Vehicle Mechanic, your duties will include:
+ Using manual and computerized diagnostic methods to identify potential problems in a vehicle.
+ Explaining mechanical problems and possible solutions to customers.
+ Planning work and testing procedures using charts, experience and other organizational methods.
+ Testing parts and systems to ensure they work correctly.
+ Ensuring all critical parts are checked and tested.
+ Performing basic automotive care, including changing oil and rotating tires.
+ Repairing or replacing worn, old or defective parts of a vehicle.
Requirements:
+ Must have a US Secret or AUS NV-1 Clearance.
+ Must be a US or Australian certified vehicle mechanic.
+ Must have a minimum of five years of experience in vehicle maintenance.
+ Requires a high school diploma, and further specialized training in automotive service technology.
+ Though not necessary, an associate degree with classes in math, electronics or auto repair is desired.
This role will be located in Alice Springs, at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.

+ Align machinery and equipment using hoists, squares, rules, micrometers, plumb bobs, dial indicators and/or laser alignment equipment.
