The team delivers a range of different projects working with funding agencies, national and local governments, highways authorities and private organisations. We are currently engaged in a variety of large to mega projects as well as smaller more intricate projects - all offering a broad spectrum of opportunities. As part of the Stantec Water Group you will get exposure to all areas of water engineering and have the potential to undertake water resources work for dams and hydro projects, water infrastructure projects and help to provide increased flood resilience to communities through detailed flooding assessment and work for local and state agencies.
**The** **Senior Water Resources Engineer is typically** **responsible for:**
+ Undertaking hydraulic and hydrological modelling - TUFLOW, URBS, XP RAFTS and WBNM preferred.
+ Assistance/mentorship to junior members of the team - we operate as a national tram and foster an environment of open learning.
+ Producing clear and concise technical reports.
+ Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders as required
+ Flood modelling of creek and river systems and overland flow paths.
+ Modelling of pipe drainage networks and stormwater quality treatment trains
+ Collaboration with designers, environmental scientists, planners and engineers to deliver designs that are innovative, environmentally sensitive and practical
+ Interaction with clients in order to nurture long lasting relationships
**To be successful for this role you'll present:**
+ Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Environmental Engineering coupled with 5-10 years demonstrated experience in flood modelling.
+ Sufficient experience - RPEQ (or eligibility) is highly regarded.
+ Working knowledge of current guidelines, including experience working with Australian Rainfall and Runoff.
+ Demonstrated experience using TUFLOW and hydrologic modelling software.
+ Demonstrated experience with using GIS packages (e.g. QGIS, Mapinfo, ArcGIS).
+ Well developed communication skills to collaborate with a range of stakeholders in order to achieve project outcomes.
+ Ability to work as part of a team, including providing support to other teams within Stantec.

**Your Role**
The Senior Structures Design Engineer will provide safety related design, analysis and other technical support services, in accordance with the Engineering Management System and applicable regulatory requirements. This includes:
+ Performance of activities as part of the DASR Part 21J military design organisation
+ Supporting the Continued Airworthiness (CA) services team within the Military Type Certificate Holder (MTCH) organisation.
+ Processing reported aircraft configuration or condition data (e.g. defects, unserviceability, incomplete maintenance, Airworthiness Directives, etc.) to provide hazard risk advice in a timely manner, to support safe aircraft operations.
+ Mentoring staff and helping to establish the standardisation of process and analysis methods
+ Effective engagement with the broader NGA Engineering and Technical Services Community, as well as the customer organisations including the Air Lift Systems Program Office (ALSPO), 35 Squadron, Air Mobility Group (AMG) and the Defence Aviation Safety Authority (DASA).

As an experienced Structures Design Engineer, you will have experience working with in a Through Life Support organisation and have:

The C-27J complements the Australian Defence Force's existing Air Mobility fleet and provides airlift of people, equipment and supplies to support Humanitarian Disaster Relief and crisis response in Australia and nearby regions.
**Your Role**
The Senior Structures Design Engineer will provide safety related design, analysis and other technical support services, in accordance with the Engineering Management System and applicable regulatory requirements. This includes:
+ Performance of activities as part of the DASR Part 21J military design organisation
+ Supporting the Continued Airworthiness (CA) services team within the Military Type Certificate Holder (MTCH) organisation.
+ Processing reported aircraft configuration or condition data (e.g. defects, unserviceability, incomplete maintenance, Airworthiness Directives, etc.) to provide hazard risk advice in a timely manner, to support safe aircraft operations.
+ Mentoring staff and helping to establish the standardisation of process and analysis methods
+ Effective engagement with the broader NGA Engineering and Technical Services Community, as well as the customer organisations including the Air Lift Systems Program Office (ALSPO), 35 Squadron, Air Mobility Group (AMG) and the Defence Aviation Safety Authority (DASA).
**About you**
As an experienced Structures Design Engineer, you will have experience working with in a Through Life Support organisation and have:
+ Engineering Degree Qualifications
+ Experience in working with large geographically disbursed teams
+ Excellent communication and relationship management skills
+ Experience working with CFR 14 PT 25 / EASA CS PT 25 type certified aircraft
+ Experience working within Defence Aviation programs
+ Experience working in a complex, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
+ Strong understanding of entire product lifecycle and engineering best practices including delivery of ContinuedAirworthiness (CA) service

Who are you?
You are a design focused Senior Civil Engineer experienced in detailed design, running projects, customer interaction and mentoring juniors.
You will be motivated by achievement, outcome-focused and present professionally to peers, clients, and stakeholders. You will have previous experience designing major projects across water pipelines from 250mm-1000mm diameter, understand or have experience in sewer design, trunk mains and pump stations through various stages of the design lifecycle.
You possess a pragmatic approach to the development of constructable design solutions and have proven commercial acumen in the delivery of water infrastructure.
You will have the following skills and experience:
+ You are a Chartered Engineer (CEng) having delivered various complex detailed design projects
+ You have demonstrated experience in the water infrastructure sector in a consulting environment.
+ Proven ability to work in, and lead, engineering, planning and design modelling teams, work directly with water authority clients, and manage projects to scope, budget and program.

The Opportunity
Based in our Sydney office, we are looking for a Fire Protection Engineer or Fire Services Designer to join our Building Services team. This is a key role in the business and a great opportunity for someone looking to join a global company and take the next big step in their career. You will be heavily involved in a range of transport, buildings and Defence infrastructure projects focusing on the design of fire service systems. You will be in involved with projects across Australia but with a NSW focus.
This role works as a technical specialist in the Fire team and performs all conventional aspects of Fire Protection while also devising new approaches to problems encountered. You will have an opportunity to plan, schedule, and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
Due to the focus on defence projects, the successful candidate must be an Australian citizen.
Who are you?
As a Fire Protection Engineer, you will have experience in preparing and reviewing reports and technical specifications including design of wet and dry fire services. The ideal candidate will have the ability to prepare and verify designs and calculations (including self-checking) using either manual methods or with the aid of computer programs through both concept and detailed design. Initiation of good relationships with clients (both internal and external) is essential to this role.
You will also have the following skills and experience:
+ Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Mechanical) or Diploma of Fire Systems Design (CPC50520)
+ Wet and Dry fire accreditation in NSW (e.g. FSD / FPAS accreditation, or C14 / C8 registered certifier)
+ Design and document a range of wet and dry fire services systems.
+ Preparation of fire protection systems specifications
+ Read and interpret Fire Engineering Briefs/Reports.
+ Thorough knowledge of relevant standards and NCC across Defence and infrastructure is advantageous.
+ Knowledge of engineering design processes for infrastructure projects.
+ Working knowledge of Revit MEP is desirable
+ On the career pathway to registration as a Chartered Professional Engineer
