Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific is currently looking for a friendly and professional Maintenance Handyperson to join our Maintenance team on a full-time basis. Keeping our hotel running smoothly is vital to our guest's experience. As our Maintenance Handyperson you'll keep everything looking sharp and running like clockwork.
From simple repairs to forward-thinking for the next day. With naturally high standards to support our own, you'll approach every task with dedication and pride. You'll be required to perform routine & preventative maintenance for the Hotel's equipment and facilities to ensure they operate efficiently, which will include minor repairs, maintenance of guest rooms, public areas and lighting. You will be able to assist in repair work and participate in our preventive maintenance program.
The ideal candidate will have:
+ The right to work in Australia Trade qualified in Certificate III in Carpentry or higher (preferred)
+ Minimum 5 years as an experienced Handyperson with a good all-round knowledge of maintenance procedures, preferably within the hospitality industry
+ The ability to work well in a team and solo
+ Perform maintenance requirements as needed, for example, door repairs, lock replacement, changing light globes
+ Attend to minor building repairs including carpentry, tiling, roofing, window/glass, painting and plastering
+ Grounds and landscaping maintenance
+ Basic plumbing duties
+ Check and complete online work requests - Look up the maintenance register regularly and complete repairs as required
+ Carry out daily 'walk through checks of the building
+ Ensure a safe working environment according to the relevant WH&S standards

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fine woodworking, cabinetry, and furniture making, with the ability to work on both custom residential projects and commercial fit outs. DUTIES:
Project Planning & Interpretation
• Review technical drawings, work orders, and sample components to determine project specifications. < r>• ccurately measure, mark, and plan material requirements for efficient fabrication. < r>Material Selection & Preparation
