Tasks & responsibilities:
1. ssist site supervisors in implementing and monitoring worksite safety measures, including appropriate fencing, signage placement, pedestrian access points, and dust-control systems to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
2. Support the planning and coordination of minor demolition activities, ensuring that dismantling of non-structural components and site clearance tasks are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project timelines.
3. Oversee preparation processes for floor treatment and concrete surface works, including verifying that surfaces are appropriately cleaned and equipment is correctly positioned prior to the commencement of grinding or resurfacing tasks.
4. Monitor the segregation and disposal of demolition and construction waste, ensuring adherence to environmental management plans and promoting compliance with sustainability targets on site.
5. Conduct pre-operational checks on tools and equipment, including floor grinding machines and power tools, identifying potential hazards, verifying calibration where applicable, and escalating issues to maintenance teams.
6. Coordinate the distribution and movement of construction materials (e.g. timber, plywood, safety barriers) across different work areas, maintaining inventory logs and assisting with procurement tracking when necessary.
7. Participate in safety briefings, toolbox meetings, and site inspections, ensuring that safe work procedures are followed and reporting non-compliance or risks to the site manager.
8. Liaise with site managers, subcontractors, and trades personnel to communicate daily work plans, track progress, and ensure alignment with project specifications and schedules.
9. Assist in the verification and quality assurance of site preparation works, such as confirming that levels and surface conditions meet project standards before proceeding with trade installations.

**Job Description**
Our diverse Melbourne-based Building Services Team are currently looking for an experienced Team Lead to manage a group of Principal Level professional, including engineers and digital team. Your role will be split across people management and project delivery, including assisting with the design and delivery of projects across; Healthcare, Education, Aviation, Civil Infrastructure, Defence, Commercial and Arts and Culture projects across Australia.
**How you'll make a difference:**
+ Lead and manage a team of experienced, multidisciplinary building services engineers and digital modellers. Support their technical development and professional growth by providing guidance, mentoring, and performance management while setting clear goals for success.
+ Collaborate with other Team Leads within the group to drive multi-disciplinary project outcomes, ensuring effective strategic planning, resource allocation, and utilization.
+ Leverage your Building Services, Design and Project Management expertise to successfully deliver multi-disciplinary projects, in a role of the Design and Project Manager.
+ Contribute technical insights to project proposals and bids and build strong client relationships across a diverse range of projects.
+ Apply your commercial acumen and analytical skills to interpret complex financial systems and reports, contributing to both the broader operational business and specific project success.
+ Drive innovation and best practices within the Building Services disciplines, ensuring the team stays ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and sustainable engineering solutions.
**Qualifications**

+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or another Building Services-related discipline) with experience in direct team management and a people leadership role.
+ Ideally, 12+ years of experience in the Building Services sector, with a proven track record of delivering projects as a Lead Engineer, Project Manager, or Design Manager across diverse market sectors.
+ Demonstrated experience in resource planning and resource mapping across multiple multi-disciplinary building services engineering projects.
+ Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams, collaborating with engineers from various disciplines as the Project Lead, leveraging your technical expertise and exceptional communication skills.
+ CPEng / RPEQ and/or RBP Accreditation (highly advantageous) with strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to engage with clients, consultants, and project teams to drive successful project outcomes.

This role requires effective communication with relevant Honeywell staff and sub-contractors, as well as the Hospital operator and their stakeholders to ensure tasks are allocated efficiently and maintenance (either reactive or planned) occurs in accordance with given requirements
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Ensure that the Facility remains Compliant and Fit for the Intended Purposes at all times.
- Ensure that all equipment included is properly maintained and remains at all times fit for the intended purposes
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key contract stakeholders, subcontractors and end users. Ensure communication is two ways and all requests are responded to promptly and within required time frames.
- Manage the successful delivery of all building services, to ensure full compliance to all KPI and Policy and Procedure Manual (PPM) requirements are delivered.
- Ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with Honeywell, contractual, statutory and legislative requirements, including a focus on meeting Environmental Health & Safety measures.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of management systems and achieve compliance with all Honeywell policies and procedures
**Key Experience & Capabilities:**
- Trade or Tertiary qualifications in a technical or engineering related field (or related)
- Experience within dynamic, high pressure environment
- Minimum 5 to 10 years experience in a highly complex building services environment
- Financial Acumen
- Ability to understand, interpret and comply with contracts and contractual requirements
- Hazard and risk assessments
- Australian standards - building / commercial maintenance
- Australian and state based HSE legislation and compliance

In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining and enhancing the facility's infrastructure, ensuring a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for all visitors and staff.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Service and maintenance of Honeywell and third-party equipment (as per trade expertise)
+ Execute a wide range of carpentry tasks such as framing, installing doors and windows, building cabinets, and repairing wooden structures.
+ Measure and cut materials with precision, ensuring a high level of craftsmanship in all projects
+ Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks, including but not limited to plumbing, mechanical, and drywall repairs.
**Key Experience & Capabilities:**
+ Intermediate to High computer skills - Essential
+ Carpentry Trade - Desirable
+ Plumbing experience/qualification - Desirable
+ Fault finding knowledge - Essential
+ Proven experience as a Carpenter and general maintenance experience
+ Demonstrated proficiency in a variety of carpentry techniques and general maintenance tasks.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
