We are seeking motivated Engineering professionals to join our high performing Water Division and assist on our water infrastructure projects based in our Wollongong office. Our projects span the lifecycle of project delivery from feasibility studies through to detailed design packages for construction.
**About the role:**
Our Water Group is growing, and we have a terrific opportunity for talented **Senior Civil Engineers** experienced in delivering water infrastructure solutions. We are looking for multiple Senior level Civil Engineers to join our NSW based water team, working from Wollongong.
In this position you will play an integral role amongst a diverse group of highly skilled professionals that 'design with community in mind' to deliver program and project excellence for our water clients in both metropolitan, regional, and remote contexts.
We have a healthy workload focused on water supply and sewerage schemes with key water authorities in New South Wales. You will join a dynamic and skilled team that works on water infrastructure projects, not only locally, but across the APAC region.
**As a Senior Civil Engineer you will:**
+ Plan, program and coordinate specific projects with the Project Manager to deliver the agreed outputs on budget, on time and to quality standards
+ Manage and assist in the civil engineering, design management, and project management from planning, feasibility/concept design, detailed design, and construction support of water and wastewater infrastructure as lead or member of a larger team.
+ Perform broad, varied and diverse water and wastewater infrastructure engineering design tasks , including engineering drawings, engineering reports, presentations, and required applications to regulatory and/or funding agencies.
+ Engage in the development of conceptual, preliminary and detailed design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats, and prepare documentation in various civil phases including site plans, utility plan/profiles, grading plans, cross sections, diagrams, submittal reviews and response to information requests as required.
+ Prepare portions of engineering project proposals, change orders, client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.
+ Coordinate technical activities and designs with personnel in other disciplines and departments serve as a liaison between senior engineer and design team.
+ Ensure all technical outputs conform to the project scope, are safe and are of appropriate quality (confirmed by independent review).
+ Actively participate in Stantec Information sharing network including knowledge forums and other such initiatives that the Company may promote from time to time.
+ Support the development and expansion of the Company's capability in the fields of water and wastewater design, including obtaining new clients and/or new work from existing clients.
+ Support the development of other team members through technical advice and guidance.
+ Promote our brand through client interaction.
+ Contribute to proposal and bid development to support business development activities, including preparing proposal material as required.
+ Complete all work in line with Stantec Core Values and in accordance with the Stantec Quality, Safety & Environment Systems and Project Quality Procedures.
+ Minimise and control risk by commitment to the Stantec Quality, Health & Safety programmes and ensuring proactive use of our project management systems.
+ Work towards a professional qualification and/or maintain Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

**Qualifications**

+ Chartership/ RPEQ or working towards is highly regarded.
+ Relevant professional experience in consulting or engineering within the water industry.
+ Minimum 4 years of experience in water and wastewater treatment plants
+ Strong technical experience in potable water supply, gravity and pumped sewerage systems, and recycled water networks.
+ Experience in water and wastewater treatment plants for regional and urban water authorities (highly desirable but not essential).
+ Expertise with dealing with a range of clients and stakeholders including local authorities, government bodies and commercial companies.
