The Credit Analyst/ Senior Credit Analyst is a critical role in supporting the rapid growth of CCB's credit portfolio. Working closely with Relationship Managers and Risk Managers, this role is an integral part of the credit analysis and portfolio management function covering comprehensive credit analysis, portfolio monitoring, end-to-end lending processes, internal and external reporting and other portfolio management initiatives.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Proactively manage the credit exposure on a portfolio of mid-large cap corporate clients;
+ Perform due diligence, financial analysis, industry assessment, risk rating determination, structuring and documentation on credit transactions for both new and existing clients;
+ Prepare thorough and accurate credit review packages in accordance with policy standards prior to submission for approval;
+ Foster partnerships with Relationship Managers, Risk, Product, Legal, Operations, Technology and other stakeholders to ensure smooth end-to-end lending processes;
+ Track market and industry developments and their impact on clients;
+ Verify and validate data for various credit monitoring and regulatory reporting requirements;
+ Appropriately assess risk, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients and assets.
**Qualifications:**
+ 3-5+ years of relevant experience gained in a credit analysis or risk management role within corporate/commercial or institutional banking;
+ Extensive knowledge of financial accounting, lending principles, loan structuring and documentation;
+ Strong analytical and financial modelling skills to critically dissect company, industry and macro factors and run detailed financial models to produce rigorously supported projection results;
+ Sound understanding of products across Australian loan markets, trade, cash management and derivatives as well as related documentation;
+ Ability to articulate analysis with clear and concise written and verbal communication;
+ Good time management and clarity in thinking when dealing with multiple work streams and tasks in a fast paced environment;
+ Self-motivated, organized and detail oriented;
+ Team player who is able to build relationships with different local, regional and global teams.

+ Undergraduate degree in accounting, business, finance or a related discipline.

Enterprise Credit (EC) is a front-line function and part of the Global Banking and Markets organization at Bank of America. The EC team is responsible for underwriting credit solutions for large corporate and financial institutions clients. As a core member of the client team, EC partners with relationship and product teams including Corporate Banking, Investment Banking, Syndicated Finance, Global Treasury Services and Global Markets to drive revenue growth and manage risk in our credit portfolio.
**Description**
The Snr Associate will manage a portfolio of large corporate and financial institutions clients and are responsible for structuring, underwriting, negotiating, and monitoring financing solutions for their clients associated with syndicated loans, bridge financings, hedging, leasing, and treasury management products. The GCIB Australia portfolio consists of large multinational companies in sectors such as Airlines, Building Products, Construction & Engineering, Commercial Services, Energy, Healthcare, Infrastructure, Real Estate and Transportation in addition to Financial Institutions and select Private Equity investments. Credits in the portfolio are principally underwritten on a cash flow basis with a mix of investment grade and non-investment grade transactions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Structuring, underwriting, negotiating, documenting, and managing credit risk associated with all banking products for a designated client portfolio.
+ Identifying opportunities to responsibly grow the loan portfolio.
+ Mitigating losses in deteriorating credits through amendments and restructurings.
+ Leading internal discussions and completing credit approval memorandums that summarize the merits and risks of a transaction based on due diligence findings, financial statement analysis, financial forecasting, assessments of terms and conditions, analysis of company and industry risks, and relationship profitability.
+ Negotiating legal documentation related to loans and derivatives.
+ Interfacing with internal control partners and external regulators.
+ Training and mentoring Credit Analysts and Associates.
**Required Skills**
+ 7 years' experience in commercial and / or corporate lending environment, with understanding of loans, trading & treasury products.
+ Strong credit risk analysis and conclusion-oriented analytical skills with ability to manage complex transactions.
+ Must be able to independently lead diligence efforts, make approval recommendations, negotiate loan documentation, and execute timely closings.
+ Able to soundly manage the portfolio and justify rationale for recommended transactions.
+ Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively with all levels of risk, support, and business partners.
