A pivotal role within the Finance team
The Senior Finance Manager Digital and Data (D&D) is responsible for partnering with the D&D leadership teams to support and deliver their strategic agendas, providing commercial insights on investment plans, expenditure, returns and opportunities to optimise performance.
With a large and diverse stakeholder cohort, the role demands strong stakeholder management skills, providing leadership and guidance to business partners at various levels of financial acumen.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role
Partner with the Chief D&D Officer, D&D leadership teams and Heads of Product to develop and maintain a multi-year view of digital investments and estimated benefits, balancing our short and long term Group ambitions in eCommerce, stores and venues
Partner with the GM of Data Driven Transformation and Group Strategy Team to develop and maintain a multi-year view of our investments in Data and AI and Technology, including cost benefit analysis and prioritisation of use cases aligned to our investment framework
Provide leadership and guidance on how to measure, analyse and optimise benefits, including ensuring consistency with broader Group methodologies and managing potential duplications.
Maintain mutli-year view of benefits and tracking
Leverage insights from benefits tracking and resource planning to support re-prioritisation decisions, ultimately optimising our ROI
Deliver post implementation reviews for major strategic initiatives, aligned to our investment performance framework
Optimise the D&D cost base through exploring outsourcing / offshoring opportunities, resource management and continual review of non-resource spend
Ensure financial plans reflect the strategic and missions for D&D
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes, proactively monitoring performance against plan, identifying risks, and driving corrective actions to avoid surprises
Facilitate monthly KPI/OKR and cost reporting for D&D initiatives, including presentation to leadership teams
Ensure robust financial control for D&D initiatives, including appropriate reflection of capex / opex, monitoring balance sheet risks and adhering to capital governance and delegation of authority
Provide strong, cross functional financial management across Digital and Data, ensuring strategic decisions are cohesive, transparent, well understood and focus on holistic outcomes maximising value for the Group
People leadership and development, coaching and mentoring to direct reports and across the broader Endeavour finance and One Endeavour teams.
What do we need from you
Now Let’s Talk About You
Tertiary qualifications in Finance or Accounting and CA / CPA qualified
Minimum 10+ years experience in a senior role including extensive finance partnering
Strong ability to develop and evaluate investment proposals, conduct cost-benefit analysis, and track returns on investment (ROI)
Experience with data and AI investments, and their financial implications, is highly regarded.
Ability to streamline and enhance reporting processes, including automation and trend analysis
Proven experience in leading, coaching, and mentoring direct reports (two Finance Managers and two Senior Finance Analysts), as well as contributing to broader team development and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to identify financial risks, optimise performance, and drive corrective actions
Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills
Business partnering and presentation experience to Senior Executive level
Experience in project financial management and developing business cases for large-scale initiatives, including defining and monitoring KPIs to measure success
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Demonstrated expertise in leading budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning processes, and proactive performance monitoring.

Responsibilities:
+ Responsible for the collection and management of information from one or more sources.
+ Distributes information to one or more audiences.
+ Works under general supervision.
+ Solves complex problems requiring detailed knowledge of the field and industry best practices.
+ Utilises experience and problem-solving skills to develop and improve processes.
+ May provide guidance to less experienced team members.
+ Other duties as directed.
Skills and Experience:
+ Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
+ Minimum of 5 years Database Administration Experience.
+ Experience in Stock Control and Planned Maintenance (SCPM).
+ Experience in the Department of Defence.
+ Experience in Configuration Management Tool (CMT)/TeamCentre.
+ Experience in Asset Maintenance Planning System (AMPS).

  • Lead the design and delivery of a secure, scalable Azure data platform (Synapse, Data Lake, Databricks/Fabric)
  • Develop and execute the AI strategy, including GenAI and MLOps initiatives
  • Embed robust data governance, privacy, and APRA CPS 234/235 compliance
  • Provide architectural oversight and ensure solution quality, scalability, and cost-efficiency
  • Partner with Microsoft and strategic vendors to deliver value-driven outcomes
  • Represent the bank in industry forums and assess emerging AI trends
  • Drive innovation through Generative AI projects that solve complex challenges
