Job Description
The NT Remote Locum Program (NTRLP) is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-led workforce program dedicated to strengthening healthcare services in remote communities across the Northern Territory.
We are seeking experienced Dental Therapists/ Oral Health Therapists to provide treatment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in remote NT communities. This locum-based role offers short-term placements where you will work on-site in remote clinics, delivering culturally safe, high-quality care in collaboration with Aboriginal Health Practitioners, General Practitioners, nurses, and support staff.

- Minimum of Two years full-time post-graduate of clinical relevant experience as a dental therapist.
- Minimum of 250 hours of relevant full-time clinical experience working as a dental therapist within the past 12 months.
- Current BLS / CPR Certificate.

Are you an experienced Dental Assistant looking for a new adventure?
We are seeking locum Dental Assistants to join cmr and support clients across multiple locations, including both coastal and regional placements.
You'll be working alongside skilled dentists and oral health professionals to deliver high-quality care to patients in a supportive, team-focused environment.
What you'll be doing:
- Providing efficient four-handed chairside assistance across a range of dental procedures.
- Preparing and maintaining equipment, instruments, and materials to infection control standards.
- Supporting patient comfort and well-being during treatment.
- Assisting with charting, radiographs (if certified), and sterilisation processes.
- Maintaining surgery cleanliness and equipment safety.
What we're looking for:
- Mandatory Certificate III in Dental Assisting.
- Previous dental assisting experience, ideally in public oral health settings.
- Strong knowledge of infection control, dental procedures, and equipment maintenance.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-focused approach.
- Adaptability to work across different clinic environments.
- Radiography certification (desirable but not essential).
