Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, fluid top-ups, and engine tune-ups. < r>• iagnose, repair, and replace mechanical components such as engines, transmissions, steering columns, and suspension systems. < r>• D agnose and repair complex electrical issues in vehicles, including battery systems, alternators, and starters. < r>• D smantle and reassemble mechanical assemblies to perform repairs. < r>• C nduct vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards. < r>• P rform brake and suspension system repairs and replacements. < r>• U e specialized diagnostic tools and software to identify and fix electronic and electrical faults. < r>• I stall, maintain, and repair wiring and lighting systems. < r>• R pair and replace defective electrical parts, such as sensors and control units. < r>• P rform electrical safety inspections to ensure proper vehicle function. < r>Skills & Experience Required:
• M nimum of 5 years of experience as both an Automotive Mechanic and Automotive Electrician. < r>• S rong expertise in mechanical repairs, electrical diagnostics, and vehicle maintenance. < r>• P oficient in using computerized diagnostic tools to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults. < r>• A ility to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical systems. < r>• E cellent communication skills and customer-focused approach. < r>• A ility to work both independently and as part of a team. < r>• A valid driver’s license is required.

+ Ensuring all critical parts are checked and tested.
+ Performing basic automotive care, including changing oil and rotating tires.
+ Repairing or replacing worn, old or defective parts of a vehicle.
Requirements:
+ Must have a US Secret or AUS NV-1 Clearance.
+ Must be a US or Australian certified vehicle mechanic.
+ Must have a minimum of five years of experience in vehicle maintenance.
+ Requires a high school diploma, and further specialized training in automotive service technology.
+ Though not necessary, an associate degree with classes in math, electronics or auto repair is desired.
This role will be located in Alice Springs, at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.
