Looking for a mechanical leading hand to commence ASAP in a busy workshop in Paget!

Y our new role
- Ensure all tasks are performed safely.
- Delegate assignments and projects based on team members' skills and workload.
- Monitor work to ensure compliance with specifications, safety standards, and deadlines.
- Guide and train apprentices to enhance their abilities.
- Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues.
- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance to maintain equipment reliability.
- Coordinate with other teams to schedule maintenance and repairs with minimal production disruption.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work, including maintenance schedules and equipment history.
What you'll need to succeed
- Mechanical Trade Qualification
- Leading hand experience
- Experience in a heavy equipment workshop
- Drivers licence and reliable transport
- Contactable references
- Ability to complete police check
- Living locally in the Mackay region
What you'll get in return
If youre successful in this position, you will be working in a busy workshop in Paget. You will be paid an attractive hourly rate, with additional benefits and super. This position will see you working Monday to Friday, 10 hours per day and you will receive a weekly pay. If youre the right fit for our client, they will also have the opportunity to transition you into a permanent role at any time.
