About the Opportunity
Working within a busy Western Australian primary health care clinic in Broome, WA, you will independently manage patient triage, diagnosis, prescribing, and care planning aligned with a holistic Model of Care. This includes delivering advanced clinical assessment, providing culturally responsive treatment, and collaborating closely with Aboriginal Health Workers, GPs, and Allied Health.
You'll be a key driver in supporting a WA community's health outcomes through timely access to care and evidence-based practice, making a tangible difference where it's needed most.
Skills and Experience
To succeed, you will need:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Nurse with Nurse Practitioner endorsement
- Extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of illness/injury in primary care
- Advanced clinical decision-making and care planning skills
- Excellent cross-cultural communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently in a multidisciplinary environment
- Sensitivity, diplomacy, and discretion when handling complex or confidential matters
- Previous experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities (desirable)
