**What is the Job all about?**
Join our dynamic team in Australia as a Purchasing Specialist, where you'll drive internal customer satisfaction, lead value-based sourcing initiatives with local suppliers, and champion operational excellence, innovation, and sustainability. You'll optimize total cost of ownership (TCO), develop supplier portfolios with a site-specific focus, and act as a key escalation point for supplier or component issues. As a vital link between plant operations and category management, you'll support supplier performance improvements and ensure alignment with Group Purchasing processes. **Your main responsibilities:**
Provide administrative support to categories related to sourcing and relationship activities in close cooperation with the Category Manager. In addition, role model in below mentioned key activities.
**Value based sourcing related activities** :
+ Responsible for local suppliers
+ Responsible for the tendering process (eRFI & RFQs and e-auctions).
+ Responsible for the creation and updating of contracts
+ Responsible for price (MPI) and contract negotiations.
+ Responsible for budgeting MPI and investments in alignment with category targets
+ Responsible for driving cost out activities
+ Responsible for building the yearly roadmap based on Group Purchasing priorities in alignment with Production Plant priorities.
+ Agree on responsibilities and timing of the sub-projects of the yearly roadmap
+ Responsible to drive/support supplier related activities/ projects in collaboration with plants/ divisions
+ Category team:
+ Participate in developing the SRM strategies for key suppliers and relevant collaborative suppliers.
+ Be part of a team of cross-functional key stakeholders.
+ Develop supplier portfolio with a site focus
+ Drive projects or activities aligned with category strategy and category team
**Operational Procurement Management related activities**
+ Accountable for Vendor master data (Shared service task)
+ Accountable for updating Purchasing conditions (Shared service task)
+ Support solving suppliers or components related issues
+ Act as Escalation point for plant according to escalation matrix
+ Lead Purchasing tasks in temporary outsourcing due to capacity constraints -
**Supplier Relationship Management related activities:**
+ Responsible for Local suppliers:
+ Monitor the performance of suppliers (e.g., on-time deliveries, quality).
+ Prepare and participate in follow-up with suppliers on performance against target and agreed development activities.
+ Follow up on improvement initiatives.
+ Classification of suppliers.
+ Develop SRM strategies for selected Local suppliers based on risk assessment by the Purchasing Specialist.
**Your background:**
+ Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or related field.
+ Knowledge of best practices and relevant practices, systems in administration and business support preferable from the purchasing field.
+ Preferably have 2-3 years' experience in similar work.
+ Good command of English Language
+ Worked experience collaborating with a globally arranged team.

**Your Role**
+ Conducting, coordinating and executing activities associated with the procurement of KC-30A items of supply to meet program outcomes.
+ Purchase Order (PO), Repair Order (RO) Lifecycle Management
+ Ensuring compliance with regulatory, contractual and organisational requirements.
+ A key output is the making sure that POs/ROs are raised and managed in accordance with policies, procedures and agreed timeframe expectations, and that the process is managed and tracked
**About You**
You will be a strong team player, with the ability to work autonomously or as part of a larger group, with a demonstrated ability to always liaise professionally, with both the customer and internal stakeholders.
+ Experience in inventory management and Supplier Contract Management is essential
+ Experience in Procurement for Aircraft maintenance would be advantageous but not essential
+ Tertiary qualifications in Business or Supply chain are desirable but not essential

The Procurement Service Specialist will support and work closely with the Senior Manager, Commercial Procurement and Associate Procurement Manager, and assist in partnering and influencing the broader South Pacific business supporting Marketing, Professional and IT Services spend and carrying out end-to-end category strategies and market engagements, starting from spend analysis through to negotiation, contract execution and supplier relationship management where needed across all categories.
**Main Responsibilities:**
+ Develop and support the South Pacific Services Procurement Category management strategy, ensuring alignment with global and regional strategy.
+ Work as part of the broader procurement network (local, regional, and global) to develop and roll-out procurement initiatives, including sharing and reapplying best practices.
+ Support the Annual Procurement Planning Process (Cost Of Sales and Budget Review).
+ Lead or support strategy execution via RFP or supplier negotiation in country and regional as required.
+ Conduct sourcing activities such as RFPs and negotiations, through to completion of award.
+ Lead supplier consolidation to streamline the vendor base.
+ Source for alternatives to support innovation, cost initiatives, and risk mitigation.
+ Implement and deliver Procurement targets for the assigned category (e.g., cost savings, cost avoidance, working capital, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)).
+ Lead supplier selection process with Colgate procurement tools and framework.
+ Lead supplier development activities and set up cross-functional reviews to improve performance and drive value creation.
+ Continuously evaluate the supply market to ensure the latest information is available and perform market analysis in close cooperation with other departments.
+ Contribute to the development and implementation of end-to-end procurement strategies designed to improve value and cost-effectiveness.
+ Effectively partner and collaborate with all relevant internal and external stakeholders to achieve operational outcomes, promote a positive workplace culture, and ensure effective and efficient outcomes.
+ Provide category analysis, insight, and support to internal stakeholders, and provide category representation.
+ Identify and implement effective strategies to maintain continuity of goods and services for assigned projects, categories, and suppliers.
+ Implement and execute procurement processes and strategies to optimize and continually improve the performance of the Procurement function and Colgate-Palmolive business.
+ Lead or support assigned end-to-end market engagements including opportunity identification, baselining, RFx's, negotiations, through to approvals and contract execution.
+ Provide operational, analytical, and commercial support across any procurement-related activities, supplier relationships, escalations, or other procurement inquiries.
+ Ensure compliance with Colgate-Palmolive procurement policies for all vendors.
+ Support strategic initiatives, including global priorities, stakeholder, digital transformation, and process improvement initiatives.
+ Contribute to local Funding the Growth (FTG) programs.
**Required Skills, Experience & Education** :
+ 5-8 years Procurement experience
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels
+ Strong understanding of managing the RFx process end-to-end, with strong project management skills.
+ Energetic and self-motivated individual who enjoys not only working in a team, but also having autonomy to complete your role.
+ Strong customer-focus with proven ability in influencing, communicating and negotiating.
+ Proactive self-starter who is highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and achieve results under tight deadline
**Preferred Requirements:**
+ FMCG experience (preferred by not essential)
+ Ariba experience (highly desirable)
