What You'll DoIn the role of Systems Engineer: Risk Manager, your duties will include:
+ Lead risk assessments and develop risk management plans for systems and projects across various domains.

+ Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Risk Management, or a related field.
+ Must have 7 years of related experience supporting large systems and sub-systems.
+ Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
+ Proven experience in systems engineering and risk management.
+ Strong understanding of risk analysis tools and techniques.
+ Expertise in system architecture and lifecycle management.
+ Ability to assess and mitigate technical, operational, and financial risks.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

The Enterprise Risk Management & Risk Oversight organization within Global Risk and Compliance (GRC) is responsible for identifying and managing risk across all processes and geographies at American Express.
The Analyst, Enterprise Risk Management, ANZ within the GRC organization, is responsible for establishing the second line of defense for the Australia and New Zealand. **Key Responsibilities:**
+ Develop risk tolerance limits and establish risk appetite metrics and escalation thresholds for all major risk stripes in accordance with regulatory requirements, and risk appetite.
+ Identify emerging risks in accordance with the risk appetite program.
+ Establish policies, practices, and other control mechanisms to manage key enterprise risks.
+ Monitor and report on aggregate risk profile, initiating appropriate actions to ensure adherence to risk appetite.
+ Provide oversight of internal control framework and management of risks.

+ Provide oversight of ANZ operations through the establishment and ongoing maintenance of an effective enterprise risk management program.
**Experience and Background:**
+ 2 years of experience in risk management or a similar role.
+ Strong business and risk acumen with a control perspective.
+ Strong analytical ability to connect disparate risks with the ability to assess them
+ Strong understanding of regulatory nuances and banking industry in ANZ.
+ Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple priorities.

Job Description

We are looking for a Manager, Operational Risk to join our 2nd Line Group Risk and Compliance Team!

This is a highly visible role in the business and will be responsible for the operational oversight of Operational Risk across five key areas:

1) Framework Development

  • Implement and own the Operational Risk Management Framework in line with the Cuscal’s regulatory requirements (e.g. APRA’s CPS 230), industry best practices and operating environment in line with three lines of defence

  • Ensure line 2 risk management capability is built and sustained to review, challenge, oversight and assurance reinforcing line 1 accountability with the business owners

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive operational risk metrics, policies, and procedures.

2) Risk Transformation

  • Play a crucial role as the Operational Risk SME to ensure that the risk framework design is fit for purpose and suitable to Cuscal’s business and operational environment and ways of working.

  • This would involve looking at the end-to-end risk value chain and transform how we manage risks across 3LoD from a people, process and technology perspective

3) Business Risk Advisory

  • Review and challenge risk/RiC assessments, adequacy and effectiveness of risk mitigation strategies, controls, and action plans implemented by 1st line teams.

  • Critically assess incidents, breaches, and near misses to identify systemic issues and recommend appropriate remediation actions.

  • Ensure the continuous improvement of risk management practices by engaging with business units to provide constructive feedback and challenge assumptions.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and business units on operational risk matters, including emerging risks, regulatory changes, and industry trends.

  • Drive education and training programs to elevate operational risk awareness and capabilities across the organisation.

  • Collaborate with product, client, and technology teams to ensure operational risk considerations are integrated into new initiatives, system changes, and major projects.

4) Oversight and Monitoring

  • Oversee the implementation of key risk indicators (KRIs), risk control metrics, and performance dashboards to monitor our operational risk exposure on an ongoing basis.

  • Prepare data driven risk reports for executive committees, providing clear and actionable insights into key operational risks, trends, and emerging issues.

  • Oversee incident and issue management and remediation, including timely escalation, root cause analysis, and lessons learned.

5) Risk Governance

  • Oversee, monitor and maintain standards/processes to ensure risk system integrity

  • Develop Operational risk reporting to relevant committee forums, ensuring risk information is data driven, comprehensive, accurate, and insightful.

  • Work closely with internal audit and compliance functions to ensure a coordinated approach to risk management and control assurance.

  • Maintain and update risk governance documents, including terms of reference for committees and support risk committees as required.

We are looking for a Head of Non-Financial Risk with a remit of Operational Risk & Compliance, to join our Group Risk & Compliance function.

Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, the Head of Non-Financial Risk is accountable for ensuring the effective governance and management of all material non-financial risk classes. As part of the Group Risk & Compliance Leadership team, the Head of Non-Financial Risk supports the development of the Risk function’s vision and strategy and works to foster a culture of strong employee engagement, optimised productivity, efficiency, client/customer service, employee retention and a proactive risk culture.

You’ll also make an impact by: 

  • Leading and developing a team of subject matter experts to provide oversight, advisory and assurance activities in line with risk and compliance frameworks to ensure the effective identification and management of material risks to ensure the prudent and sound management of the organisation.

  • Drive the development of Compliance policies and frameworks and work closely with the Head of Enterprise Risk Strategy and Regulatory Affairs and Risk Stewards (Fraud and Scams, Service Provider Risk, Business Continuity, Tech, Data and Cyber) to provide input into the strategic development, implementation and ongoing delivery of Cuscal’s Non-Financial Risk Management Strategies and associated frameworks, and with Line 1 Material Risk Class Stewards.

    • oversight of the level of risk in the institution and its relationship to the risk appetite, and any necessary reporting and escalation to the Board or its committees.

  • Providing effective challenge as part of participation in the decision-making process, ensuring that material decisions are risk based, and risk frameworks support effective decision making.

  • Tertiary qualification in a related discipline (e.g., finance, commerce, business, audit)

  • Demonstrated experience in building risk maturity and capability across the first and second lines of defence and experience/exposure to better industry practice as it relates to non-financial risk transformation

**Job Description**

We are looking for a passionate Quality Engineer, Safety Management System (SMS) & Risk Manager with exceptional communication skills to join our Quality Department at Bankstown Airport. Reporting to the Director of Quality & Industrial Services, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting internal and external stakeholders by providing expert coaching in Quality and Continuous Improvement, with a strong emphasis on Process Excellence.
In addition, the role encompasses leadership of Safran Helicopter Engines Australia's Safety Management System (SMS) and Risk Programs, with a particular focus on the proactive identification, analysis, and mitigation of operational risks to enhance organisational resilience and safety performance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Attend and act as coach at assigned Quick Response Quality Control (QRQC) ritual meetings to ensure the QRQC methodology is being practiced as intended.
- Promote the dedicated Problem-Solving Methodology, by assisting and training employees daily
- Fulfill a coaching and mentoring role by supporting the implementation of corrective actions through the application of established problem-solving methodologies
- Support process owners and their teams with the creation and maintenance of their associated One Safran process documentation (Procedures, Instructions, templates etc.) as required.
- Conduct audits in accordance with the established annual audit plan, and where necessary, issue Corrective Action Requests (CARs), Opportunities for Improvement (OFIs), and electronic QRQCs (e-QRQCs), while providing guidance to pilots in the application of appropriate problem-solving methodologies.
- Perform Basic Audits as per the annual schedule and as directed.
- Deliver Aviation Safety and Part 145 & MOE training in the capacity of a Trainer. The role also requires flexibility to provide instruction on a range of additional topics as needed, in alignment with organisational training requirements.
- Lead, coordinate and advocate the activities related to SMS implementation
- Manage the documentation specific to SMS in agreement with the SMS Corporate manual.
- Promote two-way communication regarding safety issues at all levels of the organisation.
- Make sure that the necessary means to implement the SMS on the site are sufficient
- Prepare and lead the site SMS reviews.
**Job Requirements**
- Analyse trends relating to hazards, events and occurrences and implement the measures necessary for the treatment of safety problems.
- Ensure the reporting of SMS specific KPI's both internally at Safran HE Australia and to the Corporate SMS Manager
- Contribute to the development of the Safran group safety policy.
- Coordinate with the SafranHE Australia Pty Ltd WH&S committee to participate in site safety reviews audits.
- Ensure requirements of the Safran HE Charter of SMS Managers is complied with.
- Lead, coordinate and advocate the activities related to Risk Management
- Actively oversee the Business Continuity Planning and implementation. Coaching and mentoring other Quality Engineers and Process owners through this process will be required.
- Assist with the management and maintenance of the Inspection and Test Equipment calibration process and system database as directed.
We are looking for:
- Minimum of five years engineering experience in either the aviation or automotive industry.
- Minimum tertiary qualifications - Certificate IV Aero skills (Mechanical) or equivalent.
- Leadership skills
- Green Belt and/ or Black Belt certification will be well regarded but not essential.
- French language skills will be well regarded but are not essential.
- Internal Auditor and/ or Lead Auditor qualification will be well regarded.
- Knowledge of Airworthiness Regulations will be well regarded.
- A qualification gained as a Certificate IV Workplace Trainer and Assessor will be highly regarded but is not essential.

The Financial Crime Compliance team (FCC) is a combined Risk function designed to support, build and enhance sustainable and effective financial crime capability and operations within the Bank, to ensure compliance and effective risk management.

FCC Risk Assessments will comprise a group of full time risk professionals tasked with undertaking detailed review and challenge of risk assessment items coming to FCC.

Do work that matters:

Reporting to the Senior Manager FCC Risk Assessments, this role will be responsible for managing FCC risk assessments for the CBA group. The FCC Risk Assessments team will review and challenge all risk assessments on new and existing Products and Channels, annual reviews of RCSA and CSA and oversee and manage the EWRA.

Additionally, this role will support in ensuring all policy and related documentation concerning the assessment methodology meets relevant Australian, CBA and regulatory standards and expectations.

On any given day, you will

  • Assist the Business and Group support functions to complete financial crime related Risk Assessments.

  • Assist in the development of reporting and a management tool for Risk Assessments.

  • Assist in the delivery of CBA’s major Financial Crime risk assessment tasks including Product, Technology and Channel Risk Assessment and Enterprise Wide Risk Assessment (EWRA ).

  • Assist in the identification and uplift of controls for financial crime across the Group.

  • Oversee the FCC control environment ensuring appropriate design and operating effectiveness aligned to the RCSA , CSA and EWRA risk methodology thresholds.

  • Assist in the development and managing of the Risk Steward Guides (RSGs ) across AML/CTF, AB&C, Sanctions and Anti-Tax Evasion.

We are interested in hearing from people who have

  • Experience in a risk and compliance role

  • Strong understanding and application of operational risk and compliance frameworks.

  • Understanding of the financial crime regulatory environment, obligations and controls.

  • Excellent co-ordination and stakeholder management skills with proven experience to influence senior stakeholders.

  • Clear oral and written communication.

  • Leverages and interprets data and engages experts to extract the insights.

  • Project management and delivery of vendor systems is highly desirable.

  • Degree qualified in Finance, Business, Law or relevant discipline is preferred.

  • Relevant industry accreditation or certificate is desirable (AFMA, ACAMs etc).
