About the role
We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our international Talent Acquisition Team. You will join one other TA Specialist in Australia and a wider team spanning the UK and US. You will be responsible for talent acquisition processes end-to-end; from developing strategies and sourcing techniques, qualifying candidates, relaying job offers and assisting with onboarding. You will establish relationships with internal stakeholders across the Australian businesses such as HR, Hiring Managers and Business Leaders and external stakeholders such as recruitment agencies. You will manage a variety of vacancies across all levels and multiple Australian locations and be responsible for ensuring a reliable pipeline of qualified candidates is maintained. You will also be responsible for maintaining our applicant tracker tool, SAP SuccessFactors, for your dedicated vacancies and if required assist with reporting for Australian Business Leaders and wider L3Harris US colleagues. This role would be ideal for a driven, collaborative and adaptable individual who is looking to learn and develop within a fast paced, growth-oriented environment.
The role will report to our Head of Talent Acquistion for Australia and UK (UK based) therefore would suit someone self sufficient with the ability to work autonomously. The role is Brisbane based with a hybrid working model, 3 days onsite in our Hamilton and Eight Mile Plains offices with 2 days working from home. We offer flexible working hours and half day Friday finish.
What the role will involve
The responsibilities of your role will include the following:
+ + Partner with the business to drive the end to end recruitment lifecycle by taking responsibility for all recruitment processes relating to your vacancies, ensuring that all activity meets statutory requirements, adheres to best practice and is implemented within agreed deadlines.
+ Work with Hiring Managers and HR teams to understand key resource requirements to ensure the development of sourcing strategies that meet current and future organisational needs.
+ Proactively engage with both passive and active candidates through various channels and report progress against resourcing activity.
+ Act as the first point of contact for L3Harris for potential future employees and provide a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
+ Use of the applicant tracking system (SAP SuccessFactors) ensuring accurate TA data and metrics are maintained and kept up to date at all times
+ Build and maintain collaborative and professional partnerships with HR colleagues, managers and other key stakeholders
+ Work with third party suppliers/providers for the supply of candidates if required
+ Support stakeholders with their recruitment requirements attending interviews as required and advising Hiring Managers as appropriate on hiring decisions.
+ Aside from the tactical day-to-day TA activity, there is also the opportunity to become involved with Early Careers recruitment, marketing activities and other activities such as Hiring Manager workshops/training sessions.
What you'll bring
The role requires the following experience and skills:
+ + Previous experience in sourcing and recruiting talent either via an internal talent acquisition role or agency background
+ Previous experience in the Defence/Aerospace (or similarly highly regulated) industry with knowledge of industry requirements (Security Clearances etc.)
+ Experience of recruiting technical/engineering (or similar) talent
+ Experience using varied recruitment strategies and sourcing methods and managing the recruitment lifecycle end-to-end
+ Experience of using recruitment tools to source such as LinkedIn Recruiter and job boards
+ Experience of using an applicant tracking system
+ The ability to thrive within a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
+ Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
