As a Senior Strategy Consultant, you will be part of the Global strategy team responsible for influencing the long term direction of Xero and driving key strategic projects across the businesses. You’ll execute and support a broad range of global strategic projects for Xero including market research, competitive intelligence, and understanding customer needs and trends.

What you'll do

  • Conduct research and analysis across market, competitors, customer and industries

  • Create detailed competitor, market and customer segmentation models

  • Build financial models to perform quantitative analysis to help answer our most important strategic questions

  • Support end-to-end delivery of projects: identifying and structuring problems, analysing root causes, developing solutions, communicating project results, and getting buy-in for change

  • Work closely with business experts across product, sales, and marketing teams

  • Conduct strategic projects evaluating the performance of current business operations and recommend strategies and tactics to achieve business goals

  • Create and deliver high-quality presentations to senior executives

  • Support internal and external communications, including CEO-level and investor presentations

What you'll bring with you

  • Minimum 2yrs+ strategy consulting experience

  • Bachelor or higher degree

  • Preferred: Familiarity with SaaS business models, sales and marketing

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with experience building complex models

  • Strong analytical background with track record of analysing data from various sources into reports, analyse trends and make fact-based recommendations

  • Strong teamwork and cross-functional team influencing skills

  • Experience and proficiency in meeting and presenting to senior staff

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient in MS Office and/or G-suite and other analytical tools (experience with large multi-relational data sets and SQL is a plus

What will your typical day look like?

As a Senior Consultant within our Human Capital practice, you will have the opportunity to work across a variety of exciting projects, and work with collegiate, highly skilled and supportive teammates. You will work on strategically important projects and deliver exceptional client service to some of Australia’s largest and most iconic clients – helping them solve challenges that truly matter to their organisation.

We advise clients on a range of people related challenges including:

  • Workforce strategy design: Defining the future workforce to support the realising of business priorities and changes to work, workers, and the workplace

  • Strategic workforce planning and analytics: Forecasting future skills, FTEs and costs associated with probable future business scenarios

  • AI-enabled workforce transformation: supporting organisations to understand and deliver changes to their workforce to drive value from AI and technology investments

  • Evidence based talent management practices: Designing robust, research and data driven and practical talent practices, including leadership development, capability frameworks, career architectures, learning, recruitment, diversity and inclusion and wellbeing

  • Disruptive change: Mergers and restructurings, functional and enterprise transformation programs, organisation design and culture change
